It's a great cay, located away from the hustle of the more popular beaches. Do bring LOTS of sunscreen and water as there are NO facilities on the cay. A great paradise get away.

For the non-divers, this spot will provide you with plenty of aquatic life viewing. Bring plenty of sunscreen and some cash to purchase lunch at one of the local over the water restaurants. The seafood is still alive when you order...can't get fresher than that!

the pictures on this site must have been made either somewhere else, or while diving, this coral is not there when you snorkel. We saw some nice fish about 500 meters off the shore as near the shore there is really nothing to see. Kind of tourist trap but just part of the tour. Maybe if you have never been on a snokeling tour this is a nice attraction.

Reasonable snorkelling. Food was quite good. We did it as part of a tour with dolphin bay & starfish beach. Was good worth doing

OMG!!! Melissa Knab were staying on Bocas del Toro, & we took what was supposed to be a day-trip to this PARADISE! Well, this is how it went down....we stayed for weeks! Our cabana was built over the water, sending reflections throughout the interior. Lilliana Smith had 'shell mobiles' everywhere, the sounds went with the reflections. Diogenes Smith took us to uninhabited islands for a day trip, no charge, just for us to have fun! One evening, Lilliana took us to Isla Popos to visit the indigious tribe, & we returned by sciff under the light of a FULL MOON...just us three girls! This place was an experience of a lifetime! We ate 3 meals a day in their home...lobster EVERY night. We had "Dug-Out Races" with her lovely children...1 dugout would go 1 way & the other dugout the other way...it was so much fun, Melissa & I even won a few times! We would sit for breakfast, & Papacito would come in with his guitara, then Diogenes would start playing his guitar...by 8:00am, the entire house was dancing!!! What a unique adventure...one I shall NEVER forget!!!

The water was so clear and pretty while we were there. From the dinghy we could see the reef, alive with all kinds of fish, corals and sponges. At night the sky was so clear and the stars were outstanding. Great place to anchor for a few days...

This location was really beautiful, and the view over the water from the restaurant too. But I found the coral and fish a bit disappointing - they were good, okay, but I have seen nicer in other parts of the Carribean. In 20mn we'd seen pretty much all there was to see.

We snorkeled here and were amazed by how many different types of coral there were in this area. We were so busy looking that our friends told us to just go with the flow and watch the fish come out to feed. So many and the sponges were incredible! The coral were several feet below and suddenly there were so tall I felt I could touch them if I wanted, DIDN'T!

This place presents gorgeous views and has good food, although a bit pricey for the area but considering they are a destination restaurant, it is to be expected. I ordered the parga frita (fried snapper, US$9), and was presented with a whole fried fish. Delicious, and the best treat was them dumping our plates in the water and watching the snapper SWARM! I think all the adult fish in Bahia Almirante are at this place. Great snorkeling, gets very crowded and only open until 5, serves food only until 4 PM, so no dinner.
