Have been 3 times on guided tours in dagoretti forrest in nairobi. Always an amazing experience to see the huge forrest, corn plantations and local villages on a horse. Pleasant and professional guides and horses. Can recommend the 4 h pick nick ride with family or friends.

I am fortunate enough to live in Nairobi so I can go on hacks with Anja and her horses regularly. The surroundings we ride through are stunning and the horses a pleasure to ride. It's super fun, and I've improved a lot as a rider since I first visited Malo. Recommend it for anyone who loves riding for fun and'or wants to improve their technical skills.

During my years in Nairobi, Malo stables has become a favorite weekend spot for lovely rides on wonderful horses with great company in beautiful surroundings. The horses are of excellent standard and there is an option for any kind of rider and taste, stick to a favorite or go on experiencing different horses. Malo offers high flexibility in terms of forest trails and timing of rides, you can also take lessons in the paddock or jump the stable's cross-country trail. In addition to the great horses and beautiful surroundings (nice long canters looking with a view of Ngong hills!) the atmosphere of Malo makes a difference; Anja and family add a warm, personal and welcoming touch to your rides and I keep on meeting nice people at Malo, including the staff who are super friendly. If you want to ride excellent horses in a beautiful and friendly environment - this is definitely the place in Nairobi!

I have had many wonderful rides out in the forest with Malo stables. An excellent way to spend a morning with friends or making new ones on the picnic ride. The horses are well trained and well looked after, a pleasure to ride! It's great to go on a long ride, have a wonderful picnic and go back in a car. This is not for absolute beginners but I have done shorter rides with my son (13 years old) which we both loved too. We both miss our rides and can thoroughly recommend Malo stables.

Our rides out in the forest are always something to look forward to ! Great horses, great people, gorgeous terrain - what more does one need ? I can highly recommend Malo stables if you look to experience Nairobi on horseback, a nice picnic ride out. Get a feel about what life in Nairobi can be like away from mad traffic and the usual hustle & bustle.

I have been riding at Malo Stables for a couple of months now and it has been a great experience. The rides are in a beautiful forest with stunning views over Ngong Hills. The horses are very well trained and the best quality horses I have experienced in Kenya. I have tried different horses and they were all equally nice to ride.

It is very rare to get the opportunity to ride such well ridden horses on forrest rides. This is simply the place to go if you visit or live in Kenya and like to go for nice canters in a beautiful forrest, do a picknic ride to the edge of the rift with a view of the Ngong Hills and Mt Longonot, take lessons on horses that carry themselves correctly so you learn in a correct way, or any other experience that MALO Stables may offer. What to expect: beautiful horses, fantastic landscapes and a wonderful host.I am addicted to Malo Stables. I try to go on outrides every weekend and on special occasions I book a picnic ride. It is always a lovely experience. The stables are clean and the horses are in fantastic shape. I can highly recommend Malo stables for anyone who is not afraid of horses and want to experience Kenya's beautiful countryside.

I can't talk highly enough of Malo Stables. It is an extremely professional and well run outfit. The horses are so wonderful and are loved and taken care of. I have been riding at Malo Stables for 2 years. I rode as a child - but had not been on a horse for over 25 years!! So I was a complete novice. One of my biggest challenges was getting over my nerves, and with a lot of patience from Anja Du Toit and her horses - I now feel confident enough to go on wonderful long rides in the Ngong Forest. There is no better way to start the day than to go for a ride here - or to spend a few hours on the weekend riding the magnificent horses at Malo Stables. I can't thank everyone at Malo Stables enough.

Imagine an early wake up with the birds, a warm and tasty cup of coffee,..... and after a 10mn drive to the outskirt of Karen (Nairobi), you meet your horse and your riding mates for a horse back ride in the magnificent forest sitting at the foot of the Ngong Hills. Riding at Malo stables is an experience to behold. The combination of hacking in tranquil and unspoilt forest, just out side Nairobi, and the quality of the horses,and polo ponies available is second to none, I look forward to riding there as often as I can.

Riding in the forest with Malo Stables is an amazing experience. I forget sometimes that we're in Nairobi, even though it's only minutes away. The forest is so peaceful and beautiful. The horses are of the highest caliber, well trained and just a pleasure to be around. Have met lots of really nice people too on group rides.I've also taken lessons in the arena, which have built my confidence and helped me become a better rider. All the trainers are experienced and I love that they share in the excitement of seeing riders improve. When I started, I couldn't even trot, I was a total beginner. Now I ride in the forest with much more advanced riders and I'm able to keep up! I highly recommend Malo Stables for riders of any level.
