The trail is quite steep but rewarding at the end with breathtaking views of Sainte Anne Island, the coast and the Morne Seychellois. We hired a local guide who gave us helpful insights on the various plants and trees along the way.

We went on the xmas day, a family of 4, with kids aged 13 and 9. We took a guide, even though this can even be done without one, it felt safer to have one. The trek was a good one, just the right kind of difficulty for the kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the view from the top, it was amazing. it would have taken 1 hr each way, but the descent seemed much easier. Should not try with very young children since there are very tricky places in the trail, where it is hard to proceed and the path might be slippery.

This trail is a good walk in the hills and gives you a great view over Victoria & Eden Island. It is quite steep in places and the entire trail takes about 45 minutes each way and is probably about 1000 vertical feet overall, so a reasonable level of fitness would be beneficial. Some parts of the trail aren't that easy to negotiate, due to rocks and trees, so small children or those not used to bush walks may find it a bit difficult. There is also an aluminium ladder fixed to the rocks near the top which you need to go up to get to the plateau.Best time to do this walk would be early morning, before the sun gets too hot - on the plateau there is no shelter from the sun. Take plenty of water and wear good shoes. The trail gets slippery when it has been raining.Parking is limited, just by the side of the road.

The trailhead sign was a bit difficult to see while driving. The trail was being monitored by two police officers, who assured me that it was safe to pass (I was hiking alone). The trail itself is fairly easy for the experienced hiker, but does have some steep inclines along the way. The flowers and vegetation are nice. Only a few harmless jungle dwellers were encountered. It took about 30 minutes for me to reach the end of the trail, but the view was obstructed by clouds and it quickly began to rain. I definitely recommend it if you will be hiking on a clear day.

Quick trail (up in 45 minutes), and it has one of the best views of Victoria, the runway, and Praslin (on a clear day). You can even see eye to eye with the palace of Mr Sheikh Khalifa.

This little trail is perfect if you want to take the chance to get away from the beach for half a day and enjoy Seychelles nature. On the way up we saw endemic snakes, birds, (carnivore) plants, you name it.The view on the top is spectacular overlooking Victoria and the surroundings.Did it with my 7 year old daughter, so also no problem to do with children.

This was a lovely walk - we were also fortunate enough to be accompanied by one of the friendly tourist police guys who pointed us in the right direction and helped us take pictures at the summit. The views from the top were just spectacular.

Went along with a photography group. Took just 30-45 minutes to walk up, and although it was typing with rain, it was actually perfect otherwise we would have found it too hot! Gorgeous views, but very slippery rocks at the top if its been raining!

Took a hike up to the top of Capiola - we got up in less than half an hour and the view is amazing. Well worth the walk!

The trail inst that far and not that much difficult. It takes approximately 45 minutes walk. when arriving at the top you can see a nice view, including: Eden Island, the Port, the International Airport, the Mont Fleuri cemetery, some few houses, buildings and etc.

The walk took us 45 minutes. We found it fairly easy but sometimes it was quite steep. As it had rained a lot it was a bit slippery. The tropical vegetation was nice. The most rewarding was the view from the top of Copolia.

This is a short trail approx. 25 minutes each way but it is a steady incline which isn't too difficult but the humidity makes it tough work. I did this trail with my husband and we were accompanied by a guide / security man. He was polite and friendly and advised me that he walks daily with tourists on this trail as there had been a few muggings in the past and the Government wanted to stop them and protect their tourists. I was saddened to hear this but grateful to have him with us. At the top we enjoyed a stunning view of Mahé and the surrounding islands and our guide pointed out a few interesting sights too. Bring a bottle of water and prepare to sweat, The view is worth it and it's also very cooling when you reach the top.

The difficulty of the trail for me was the humidity. It is uphill and steep but I didn't find this part hard and the whole walk took me 25 minutes. However, I did turn my ankle on the way back as the rough steps are steep. At the top it's very quiet and above the birds so it is lovely to look out at the islands. Nice place to stop and have a picnic. I got there easily from the bus station. Look out for the Copolia Hotel which is on a bend, on the opposite side of the road. Ring bus bell as soon as you see that as the start of the trail is clearly marked on the L side of the road about 30m after

Nice walk through the forest, with it the end a suburb view over Mahe. The walk is one big climb, but doable with an average condition and especially if you take your time to try to find the small frog.

If you enjoy a hike amongst the lush jungle (where there are no predators) then this is a hike for you. Myself and a friend completed this trail in June 2013 but due to being females we decided we would hire a tour guide (Stevens Tours). There are quite a few tour guides available for hire and can be recommended from the Tourist Information point in Victoria, but due to it being low season when we visited Mahe, Steven was the only one available at that time we wanted to visit. He picked us up from where we were staying and also dropped us back there. As previous reviews have pointed out, there are now tourist police stationed at most of the tourist points within Mahe purely for safety reasons. On previous occasions hikers have been known to lose their way on trails. Back to the guided tour. We started the trail at about 9:30, it was not too hot at that point, we took plenty of water with us and it was required, also a couple of the local bananas (for energy). The trail itself is very shaded, steep at some points, the trail has been fashioned into steps and you have to do a little bit of climbing around the granite boulders. The guide pointed out various differing plants, trees, palms and a little bit of information about them on our way up. You may see some skinks scurrying through the undergrowth, if you are really lucky you may spot the Seychelles Bulbul. When you have reached the top of the trail you reach a plateau of granite rocks, the view is stunning and it is very tranquil up there, (hat required). The highlight for me was reaching the top and finally being able to see the Pitcher Plant that grows there.
