You cant go wrong with this tomb at all, hieroglyphs are in great shape and still vividly colored. It is located right next to King Tut's tomb so it is easy to locate and I think it is open year round as well unlike other tombs in the valley.

While it is not one of the most impressive tombs in the Valley of the Kings, it is still definitely worth a visit.

This is the best tomb to see. It only costs 100 Egyptian pounds extra to see the TUT tomb, but why bother when there is little to see and this one is far superior? An incredible experience. Note that guides can't come in and that photos are not allowed.

this is a better place to see the tomb techniques than the Tut tomb.Mrenptah, the son of Ramses II, was a fortunate pharaoh as he had time to finsh his tomb and did not die too early.

This was by far my favourite tombs. The details in the design and how well preserved it was has left me speechless. Words can't begin to describe the amazingness!

I needed to come here to research my second book, "Hermes the Egyptian" (available on Amazon). Here I found what I needed. Very useful for me.

A Pharoah that is not particularly well known, but the tomb is fantastic. The artwork is exquisite and interesting. Make a point of seeing this

Another tomb but worth seeing while you are in the Valley of the Kings. Make sure you go in the morning if you travel between March and October.

I visited the Tomb of Merenptah during my visit to the Valley of the Kings. I must say it was a truly amazing experience. The entrance path is very steep. When you reach the burial chamber, you'll find the huge Sarcophagi of King Merenptah. I still have no idea how the ancient Egyptians cut the giant Sarcophagi from just one piece of 10-20 tons of granite stone and also transported it through so steep tunnel and placed it in the burial chamber. To me, this was the best tomb out of all 4 tombs I visited in the Valley of the Kings. A MUST VIST!!!!

This tomb has the large sarcophagus at the bottom of a very steep walk down approx 30 meters i was told the wall paintings were very good quality.

A lot of things to see, but you cannot take pictures. Everything was so impressive... One of the best I saw...

This tomb is amazing it is mind lowing the craftsmanship that went into this. The sarcophagus is still inside and is beautiful. To think the tombs were never meant to be seen again is unfathomable completely blown away by the scale. Ignore the security men who will offer you a special vue for cash it's a scam. Quite a steep descent therefore a bit of a workout in the heat for the ascent take plenty of water you will need it. Don't forget to look at the hieroglyphics whilst going up they are amazing.

This tomb is one of the largest and deepest. Don't even pause to worry about the effort going down and coming up - just do it; you won't regret. The hugeness of this tomb engulfs you with wonder that what those ancient artisans were capable of. Every inch of the wall is carved with intricate drawings, after a while I just felt numb taking so much in. Absolutely worth the effort.
