Growing up in the area I have watched the changes that the town of Annapolis has gone thru over the last 45 years. Thru all of the moderation, the old town feel has remained.Walking the side streets near the water front/docks is like a walk back in time. With the sidewalks of brick (uneven in areas),homes dating back more than 100 years, history of the area feels like it is talking to you.It is not hard to imagine ladies in hoop dresses getting into horse drawn carriages.Being able to stand in the room George Washington resigned his commission as General is awesome. There are many restaurants and shops catering to tourism. Each has its own charm.Walking around the docks is especially fun with kids. Boat rides, festivities thru out the year like the sail boat and power shows are big crowd generators. The anchor to the town is the Naval Academy. It is more than worth the visit to be able to walk the grounds, seeing the cadets and the historical sites on the campus.Living local to a area know for tourism can become mundane after a while, but not Annapolis and especially the historical area.

Nice little town, go there in evening, especially during Christmas time when everything is lightened. However not so special that it is worth to make a long trip, but if you are in the area, worth to go

A beautiful, historic town filled with great shops and friendly people. Easy walking. Even in winter, Annapolis offers something for everyone. Great art galleries, museums and restaurants. Unique boutiques as well.

It was chilly but sunny so we walked around the city and enjoyed seeing the historic homes and capital.

The interesting little shops, especially since local wineries joined with some for the evening, were especially interesting to explore. The holiday decorations - especially around the docks - were delightful.

We booked an Urban Tour, ( 2 hours ) in an electric car that was covered with plastic zip windows.. So glad as it was pretty cold! Very informative and got to see so much in 2 hours! I would highly recommend this tour.

It is a very historic city. The State House is interesting, with a free presentation from an interpreter. They are preparing a restoration of the historic area. Check on that progress.

Downtown Annapolis is just a cute little historic downtown. Filled with many shops, very walkable, old charming homes and easy to fill a day exploring.

A historic town, near Washington DC and part of the US Naval Academy community. There is no place on earth quite like it.

Annapolis is one of my favorite cities in the country. Very walkable and really just walking the streets is a treat because of the colonial architecture and scenic shops and townhouses. Great restaurants and water views too. Artwork on the streets and historic markers to read as well. Just a great place to visit!

Historic Annapolis is a very historic town that played a significant role in the founding of the United States of America. There are many shops and historic buildings. The state house is the oldest in the country that is still in use. Annapolis should not be missed.

A great place to get feeling of colonial city layout. Parking is terrible as is traffic. Food selections are really good
