Stopped by on a whim after Christmas. Beautiful ride through the countryside to get there. It has a pleasant tasting room and a broad offering of spirits and locally grown wines. The person doing the tastings was one of the wine/spirits creators so it made for a fun tasting. You can try groups of wines or spirits for $5 and keep the glass. The wines tend toward sweeter fruity flavors as do most Maryland vineyards. The spirits (several were called Moonshine) were fun. They had a good Lemincello and several flavored Grappas. There were also fruited blends that were pretty good too.It was a fun way to spend and hour with a nice road trip included.

We were married in October 2014 on the most beautiful day of the fall at Fiore Winery. It was the perfect, warm and inviting space for a wedding and reception of 50-60 people. We had the ceremony itself outside on the patio, walking down the outside steps to where the guests waited. Cocktails were held outside for an hour before we shifted inside to the mural room. It was the perfect arrangement and in case of poor weather we had the flexabilty to move inside. The room is rustic, comfortable and intimate.

We did not tour the vineyards, and went straight to the tasting room. Both of the employees (or owners?) were enthusiastic and helpful not only about the wines but also about pointing out local attractions in the area. We tasted and bought a few wines and grappa. They have started making an Apple Pie moonshine which we tasted and liked very much. A few weeks later I served it at a party where all (including us) loved it! I would visit again if I were in the area.

My husband & I have been to Fiore Winery 2 times. We have always enjoyed their wines. The wine tasting is a good experience. Now we know more of a selection. The staff there is excellent.

My wife and I have toured a lot of vineyards in Virginia, but few in our native Maryland, so we decided to try one in our home county, Within Harford County, MD, Fiore Winery, located in Pylesville, MD (near the MD/PA state lines), is the oldest, having been established in 1986. They were setting up for two weddings, one in their reception hall and a smaller event by their gazebo, while we visited (well, I did say the setting was scenic), but the tasting room was still open. Compared to other vineyards I've been to, they have a wider selection of wines than most, with:Dry Whites I like pinot grigio, and theirs was a little less dry than most (which I preferred). Dry Reds Neither my wife or I like dry reds, so we passed on their selection. Sparkling We didn't try this categorySemi Drys The riesling was a little drier than most, but the vignoles was excellentSemi Sweet We really enjoyed the 'blush of bel air'. The l'ombra was almost as good, but the high heel slipper and plum were merely acceptable to our palates.House Specialties (but these were mainly sold out when we visited)Desert WinesWe loved the malvasia blanca gelata and liked the vittoria. We also tried (for an extra $3) a shot of lemonicello. That was a little too strong for us.For $5 person, you get a glass and five samples, so we were able to try 10 different wines. The worst wines were drinkable (which is more than I can say about some other vineyards), and the best wines were excellent. Everyone has different taste in wine, so just about everyone should be able to find something they like. One other thing to say in Fiore's favor, most of their wines are very reasonable. Except for the dry reds and desert wines, most of the bottles are in the $10 to $15 range. The dry reds are mainly in the $15 to $20 range. The desert wines are mainly in the low $20s to low $30s, which seems to be normal for this category.

If you haven't made the trip to Fiore Winery I definitely recommend it. They have a big selection of wines (15+) so there is something for everyone. They have several Italian wines with Sangovese grapes, those are my favorites. They have dry wines and sweet ones too like the high heeled slipper! They also make their own lemoncello. The property is beautiful with a large deck and patio. A perfect place for bringing a picnic and buying a bottle of wine to relax with. There is also a large indoor room with plenty of tables in case you go on a cold or rainy day. In the summer they have music sometimes on the weekends.
