The actors and performers of the Port Tobacco Players are totally awesome and give it their all. I wouldn't miss a show.

Wonderful productions in an Art Deco setting. Great seating throughout the theater. Prices can't be beat!

My dislikes: Small theater, crammed entrance. Ladies room there is always a line for the few stalls.Positive: Mr. Richard, is WONDERFUL!!! Family Event that does not break the bank.Actors that give their all. This Murder Mystery kept us laughing. Pun after pun. And the Butler and his daughter did "Do It"

We saw Fiddler on the Roof and was pleasantly surprised at how well the actors were. The sound system was a bit of a mess with it breaking up every now and then, but overall, we loved it. Perfect date night foe us new La Plata folks.

We have seen several plays here before. THis time we saw "The Woman in Black". Play nicely done overall, had a hard time making out some of what was being said from the voice behind the scenes. The two cast members on staff spoke loud and clear. Play nicely done, comfortable seats. Usually a little chilly in theater, bring a sweater. Very good price for local entertainment. Nearby restaurants to eat either before or after show.

Community theater with professional grade shows. We have never been disappointed. Can't wait until our next visit which will be Nov 3, 2013 for "Woman in Black".

saw the sound of music and it was excellent, plan to go again, worth the visit, although the theater was redone some time ago I hope they can continue with another facelift and not let so much time pass on this, this is something our town should definitely invest in !!

The shows are always great, the volunteers are cheerful, knowledgeable, and obviously love what they are doing. Hope to see every show this season!

We and our friends, eight of ten of us usually make it to at least two productions a year. This theater group always delights the audience and never disappoints us. We especially enjoy their comedies and musicals, and holiday plays. Because of their location near the Washington D.C. area and colleges, they are able to attract top notch talent. There is a nice Mexican/Spanish restaurant, the El Dorado, just down the street where you can enjoy an after show dinner. I suggest making reservations. Sometimes you can get a discount when you show your program.
