south river boat rentals

5 of us girls rented a sailboat to celebrate our friends 30th birthday. Upon arrival they were very prompt on getting our experience started right away. The ship was rather small considering it accommodated up to 6. We were on top of each other and the captain was in the middle of the group steering almost the entire time. When it came time to put up the sails, the captain discovered we were missing the tool that cranks the sails up. Instead all of us had to do the work to get the sails up. We moved around a lot which meant the loud motor was running most of the time. We expected to have more time to relax and float if you will. Then we decided to go in the water. All was fine until the captain realized we didn't have a swim ladder either. This leaves me to question if anyone ever inspects these boats!!!! A few of us had to climb on board using the ropes, but that resulted in several bumps, bruises and cuts!!! Then if that wasn't enough, we had to call over a second boat to aid the other girls out of the water. Not only was this embarrassing and dangerous, but it also wasted almost an hour of our time! Overall, due to the lack of safety concern and equipment check, I would not book with this company again.

Family of 6 rented a 26' ft powerboat with a captain from 10-6pm. Had a blast tubing, cruising the bay and docking to eat at Kentmoor Restaurant. So much fun, really nice boat, beautiful scenery. If you are looking for a great, unique way to spend the day- this is it!
