cassinelli winery & vineyards

My wife and I have tasted Casinelli wines many times at different wine festivals around Maryland. We finally took a trip over to the Eastern shore for a visit. We were not disappointed. The tasting room was nice but a little rustic. Long tasting bar with a few tables as well. They were distilling some Brandy while we were there on the other side of the room, we didn't taste any but that was pretty cool. We found 2 great wines, a really good medium bodied Barbera and my wife's favorite was a Barbera Rose. All of the wines were under $20. Oh and also they had a couple donkey's in a field near the tasting room that our 18 month old absolutely loved!

I went to Cassinelli with my husband and two grown children. It was on a weekend afternoon (they are open for tours on Saturday and Sunday only) and we were immediately treated by the owners who were very interesting and described the whole process of making wine and brandy. We tasted 7 of their wines and enjoyed many of them ( each of us had our favorites) and purchased several bottles to take home ( although there was no obligation to buy). It was a great time for 6$ a person and we were feeling pretty good by the end!
