lambert's cove beach is a town owned beach that you need a sticker during the months of June,July and August . the beach has silky smooth sand and warm water . The walk down to the beach is a beautiful sandy path that are lined with beach goers sandals that line path, once over the dune you have breath taken views of vineyard sound. After five PM. the beach has a hidden gem of a jaw dropping sunset, that only islanders know about.

This is the perfect place to relax. Not too many people due to the fact that you have to have a pass. Clean and cold water, lovely walks along the beach, pretty dunes. Just devine

While everything like this is subjective, I can give you some reasons why Lambert's Cove gets my coveted top rating. It is a bit of a walk from the road (which you need a pass to park at in the season) but that keeps it pretty secluded from the throngs of people that mob other beaches. The sand is so fine and comfortable, one can't wait to take off his or her shoes and walk the beach. It features calm water with a nice decline. The view is beautiful and one can see the entire crescent of the beach from the entrance. I can't legally condone visiting the beach at night, but that is also one of the most fantastic experiences one can have, coupled with a little fire and a little beer. It is also a delightful spot for a stroll in the wintertime. Definitely my favorite beach on island.

though Lucy Vincent is more famous. You can't come, though, unless you own or rent property in W Tisbury, or know someone who does, that is, if you come in the summers during the days. After 6 PM it's open to non-permit holders, as is true in the early mornings also, when (be aware) many people walk their dogs here.

One of the best beaches anywhere, but not for surf. Great for swimming, rock hunting, relaxing, walking.... No waves so good for small children.Beautiful sand water and scenery Must have resident permit in summer

Greatest beach on island!!!!! Love the walk up to it, the coca cola rivers. Good fishing (sometimes).

I am so glad that my sister-in-law and her hubby bought a house in W. Tisbury just for this beach!!! A 5 minute walk from the parking lot and not overloaded with people. Just a fantastic beach for kids and/or adults. So peaceful. A real slice of heaven!

I was there on a very rainy cold day. I had my dog but it was too late in the morning. You can only walk them on the beach before 10 am and after 6 pm. Maybe it gets busy in the summer but the day I was there the beach was deserted and the view of undeveloped landscape was beautiful.
