Highly enjoyed my (to short of a) visit here. On my list of places to return to some day. Have an open mind and learn about the history.

As someone who likes cheesy decor this town has always been a bevy of wonders.I have been traveling to this town for many years and to be honest, I enjoyed the somber strange energy of the town.It has been watered down and cheepened by the tourist industry. True, there are more shops and restaurants, but at what cost?

We visited Salem with my husband and little daughter , we enjoyed it a lot... with a lot of lovely shops and cafeterias.. The witch museum is very small but was interesting too..We would like to come back..

Our first visit there and the town was quaint and friendly. The shops were great and all the different "museums" were great. Don't miss the town square. There is a statue dedicated to Samantha and Bewitched!

I was really wanting to learn the history of the area. We did learn some things but it was just cheesy.

Went on Halloween night. The witches and goblins were out in full force! The costumes were fun and inventive and everyone had a great time. No crazy drunks or fighting which can happen when you have 100,000 people all in one place. Unfortunately it was so crowded we weren't able to see the witches museum which is why we went there in the first place.

I expected too much from this place that's probably why I was so disappointed . The place was indoor and there were wax statues about people in Salem back in the old days . The place wasn't scary at all like I expected it to be , it was a walking tour and i saw more than half of the crowd was already yawning in the middle if the tour. In my own opinion it was a waste of money , go visit the witch house instead , it was more historical and kinda creepy...

Loads of people dressed up as witches (mostly tourists) wandering around. Lots of shops containing witch-type stuff. We visited the witch museum, dungeons, and pirate museum, for which we got a discount ticket for the 3 attractions. Good value, but by the time we had done all three we had done enough. There were loads more things there, but a lot of things seem quite similar. Worth a visit if you're in the area, and only about a half hour's drive from North Boston.

It was a good history lesson, but the tour was not very long. I'm glad I did not pay more for the ticket then I did. The attraction seemed like it needed a little up keep as well.

This is a very quaint and nice town. They have a lime on the sidewalk your follow to all the different attractions. I personally did the Salem Witch Museum then took in the historical significance of Salem. I'd suggest going to the Salem information centre first as they are run by park rangers and will explain each attraction in Salem and you can choose which one is best for you and your group.

Good lesson from a practicing witch. Fun and entertaining. Thanks! Not too scary for smaller children and cool enough for teens :)

It was very fun to walk around. For more detailed tours and to go into certain areas of certain places you had to pay but you could get a very nice free experience.

The entire "village" is fun to explore but if you enter the shop for the tour and received the guide we had - well, you will be disappointed. This 20 year old bubble head was horrible. She was so proud to be a witch that instead of bringing acceptance to her path she made herself look like a nut. I didn't come to Salem or on the tour to hear about her, her life plans, her Disney dreams, or her lame jokes. I was looking for the noose myself to save me the misery of listening to her. To make matters worse, the "tour" was really just listening to Witchy-Poo girl because there were no real exhibits and we were told that is because the area is usually used now for a haunted house. Nice. Don't waste your money on the tour inside the Salem Witch Village shop. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Please! Dear friend, don't enter the torturous tour!

This was a great tour to take if you're interested in learning where the modern stereotypes of witches came from, as well as the history of the jack-o-lantern, Halloween, and other things that have become part of the American lexicon relating to witchcraft. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and energetic. I'd recommend this tour to those who are looking for a quick history lesson about witchcraft.

Very interesting, the blonde tour guide was extremely informative! She was very nice and witty, all information was accurate and she was very nice to us after the tour. Highly recommend this, 5 stars
