Worcester is known for many things including being a place where diners were manufactured by the Worcester Lunch Cart. WHM has a wonderful exhibit for children of all ages called Mrs B's Diner. Many exhibits and an extensive library for anyone wanting to know anything about Worcester. WHM also runs tours of Salisbury Mansion at another site.

Never known anyone who went here in all my decades' involvement with this blighted city. Recently, this non-profit spent a considerable amount to acquire a few rusty suits of armor from a forgotten rich man's collection in the city that closed (phew!) last year. Yawn.

It would be really nice to see the Worcester Historical Museum become an exhibit at the Worcester Art museum- that would make a full day excursion to the Art Museum a worthwhile trip.

This is a small museum with a little something for everyone. One room is devoted to a local artist who was well regarded in the US and abroad. Another room tells the history of industry in Worcester. There is an area specifically for children and, of course, the Smiley room. It was worth an hour and a half. My one complaint would be that it hasn't been updated in 20 years. I'm sure there's more to tell about Worcester in the 21st century.

The 2014 Harvey Ball was held at the museum. What a great venue. Lots of pictures and other art work of the city. As well as a wonderful collection of the smiley face - created 50 years ago in Worcester. Museum has convenient hours and memberships are available.

I happen to love my city, this gem renews my pride in all Worcester was and is. It opens your eyes to what a great city we have and to our ancestors for the hard work in building it.

Kind of stuck in Worcester, wanted to go, holiday weekend, not open on Sundays. Appeared that very little in Worcester is open on Sundays. Advice? Stay the heck out of Worcester on Sundays if in search of any cultural edification.

The museum is quite Informative. It's small and cosy, you won't get tired walking around. I wish they had more souvenirs with Worcester symbols on sale.

Inventions, factories, immigration on a huge scale created wealth in Worcester. Wonderful photos of early life for both the workers and the wealthy leaders.

My recent holiday visit to the holiday tea that was held here was my first time visiting this museum. I have to admit I am a local (within 20 miles of the site) and had never visited. The entire function was well organized, included a variety of crafts and themes for children, well supervised and beautifully decorated. My granddaughter loved the actual "tea" and the check up for her bear. She also was amazed with all the little goodies provided for lunch. The highlight was of course meeting Santa and Mrs.Claus ! I will definitely make this an annual event and recommend this to my friends an their children and grandchildren.

Even as a life long resident I find out some thing new whenever I visit this wonderful museum. Recommend to all. Lots of activities for all ages.

new children's interactive exhibit is great for children 5-9...the rest of the walk-thru has a lot ofreading but will not hold the attention of young children. I walked the exhibit and loved readingabout worcester's history...my grandchildren played in the diner with 5-8 other children ...they did not want to leave...we also participated in Bingo "activities upstairs" for grand opening & mygranddaughter loved it!! I personally love the history of Worcester & my family has been here for 4 generations; and more to come. My early french & irish relatives were founding workers of the weaving industry & the shoe industry in worcester...people don't realize that on the east coast...Worcester was "the start the the industrial revolution" it doesn't get older than Massachusetts...... CHECK IT OUT!!!

History museum aren't for everyone, but history is so I hope hungrygirl will go back now that the Alden Family Gallery has opened. It adds to the more linear understanding of history but giving a context to kids (and adults) that invites conversation, rather than rote memorization of "facts."

Clearly the folks who are in charge of this museum try very hard but it just is not very interesting or stimulating, I hate to say it, but it is boring. There must be more exciting Worcester historical informational items available.
