Great place to taste some fine local wines! Music on weekend evenings in season. Don't miss the Brewery around the corner.

I have been buying wines from this vineyard for years, and I think they're really good. I joined the Wine Club so I could support this local business and get a regular supply of their wines. Some wines better than others, especially the sparkling wines. I don't go to the events at the winery as often as I'd like too, so I was happy I could make it to the first "Movie Night". My husband and I sat at the newly renovated bar on the second floor, the Art Gallery. The featured wine was a newly bottled pinot noir, not great but good enough for drinking while watching the movie "Sideways". Bring your own food or purchase a selection of crackers and locally made cheeses. Looking forward to the upcoming wine classes this winter.

We stopped by for wine...just exploring the area and WRVW popped up on the GPS. We are both so very glad we took the turn into the vineyard. Great location, nice staff, some fine products to purchase...it was all good. And WRVW is an important member of the Farm Coast economy. This whole area of Mass. and Rhode Island is most interesting. Go and stay for a few days, as we did. You will love it!

What a place!! I took my kids down for the winery's open house last Saturday, and we all had a blast!!! Picturesque views to enjoy our RJR Brut bubbly and spiked hot Apple Cider... Grace pinot noir, hello?!!! I LOVE the Blancs de Noires and Grace Chardonnay, took home a few votes of each! Hands down best dessert style wine around. Smells and feels like a brandy, drinks like a port/sherry. I'm in love!!!

I went for a tasting and it just felt very rushed. I like to relax a bit, take in the scenery, and enjoy the tasting. That just did not happen here. I will say though, that they are very accommodating and the deal I received on the tasting and bottle of wine was outstanding value! I would visit them again as the rush may have been due to a busy time of year. Would be good for the start to a bachelorette party or 21st birthday.

We went first thing on a Monday morning just after they opened; their reputation as early adopters of vinifera grapes for Mass (not easy) is well known and deserved, and I imagine it gets unrewardingly busy sometimes; some TA reviews here suggest that. But we were 2 of 4 for an impromptu and knowledgeable tasting of 7 from their range, including three of their now legendary bottle-aged sparkling champagne-style wines; which were some of the best we have tasted across the USA. The fortified with own-distilled wines - which are loosely described as vermouths - were also interesting and worthy of attention; the "5 dogs" white blend delicious; but not too sure what the point of the straight vinified pinot muenier was !! But Westport rivers is arguably the most important winery in Mass and deserve to be visited and patronised.

Free concerts on Friday nights are $10 per car - you are allowed to bring in food but not alcohol - we played by the rules and purchased a $30 bottle of red wine (only red option). Noticed lots of people with coolers of apple juice that they carried in. Hmmmmmm? If you are going to have rules, enforce them, please.

Nice change of pace for those who enjoy the vineyards of the Northeast. Great sampling of sparkling wines. The Prosecco was excellent!

My boyfriend and I went to one of the summer music performances on the lawn at Westport Rivers - it was fantastic. The musician was excellent, with great songs, and the lawn was a relaxing, informal place to have a picnic and a bottle of wine - full of couples, groups, and families. We brought our own food, but you could also buy it there. We bought a bottle of wine from the Vineyard and enjoyed it a lot. Bought one to take home as well. While we had a nice view of the vineyards, we did not get to tour the vineyard or the winemaking area on this trip - however we will definitely be back to do that some other time.

We've been several times for their Friday night concert events. 2 for $20 sparkling is the best. Bring your chairs, a picnic and friends!

Wine tasting on a cool late summer. Upstairs with 5 other couples, sampled 7 wines. All good, especially if you like sparkling wines. One of the larger choices of locally grown for bubbly...not really our cup of tea. Did love the Pinot noir and brought back a few bottles of reserve. Nice sitting area for a glass or two overlooking the grapes. $10 per person. Nice visit

We went in for a tasting on our way to do a beer tasting. Although this was "just" a stop to fill time, it was the stop I enjoyed most. We had been here once before summers back to enjoy an outdoor summer concert. I do not plan to let any time go by between visits again. The woman there who did our tasting was SO knowledgeable and really was passionate about wine, its flavors and how it is made. We love all things made & grown local so we picked up a few bottles to bring home.A few weeks later I signed up for their wine club at a local farmers market. Looking forward to trying new kinds at pick up time. They are again having the out door summer concerts on property where you can bring a picnic from home, sit on a blanket hear good music and enjoy some wine. They also have beer from a local brewery.

The Westport Rivers Winery is located on the South Coast of Massachusetts, only a few miles from New Bedford and Fall River. As you approach the winery, the area opens up with vineyards all around. The vines looked so very healthy. The building where the vineyard has its store includes a gift shop. There are many types of Westport wines and each wine is identified with the taste, price, and any awards it has won. The staff members are pleasant and very knowledgeable. There is wine-tasting available and on Friday and Saturday evenings, the site welcomes visitors to music. The area is closed on Sundays.

We were just doing a road trip when we saw the sign for the winery. I don't drink wine but my wife does. We went inside and 2 other ladies just arrived before us. The 3 of them did the $10 for 10 wine tasting. The girl serving was very knowledgeable and passionate about the wine. My wife truly enjoyed the wine and company. I advised that I like beer not wine and she directed us to the Buzzard Bay brewery down the street which we visited next. We bought a bottle of the wine she liked. We will definitely stop back if in the area again.

Everyone is entitled to having a bad day and that's what I'm chalking my visit up to. The grounds themselves are beautiful. We were seconds shy of getting a tour so just went straight for the tasting. The woman that poured for us was very knowledgable and passionate but took on waaaay too many people. Others asked if she needed help and she should've said yes. As people were coming up she would just have them "join us" even though they were just starting and we were on our fourth wine. Having to listen to each description three or four times made for a very long tasting needless to say. The sparkling wines were our favorite and I would definetly go back and give them another shot.
