I went here a few times during my recent visit to the area. It is a fantastic old school type of museum with countless beautiful ship models, and other artifacts; all tastefully displayed. There was even a lecture about shipwrecks that I attended, and brought one of my diving helmets to. I think that this is a wonderful museum, which is conveniently located near world famous Battleship Cove. If you visit Battleship Cove, then please take the time out to visit this museum too. You will certainly love it. I know that I did! Two rabbit ears up!!(\ (\( -.-)o_(")(")

Interesting maritime museum featuring Titanic, Fall River line, and a few other artifacts. Many models of historical ships (Bismark, Titanic, et al). One hour should do it. A tad pricey, but such is life.

The museum is just across the street from Battleship Cove and if you have an interest in going there you will like the Marine Museum also. They have an extensive collection of artifacts from the Fall River steamship line which carried passengers between the area and New York along with artifacts of the Titanic. They have a scale model of the Titanic about 30 feet long which was used in the first movie in 1953. There are numerous articles from books and papers on display along with photos from the early days and history along the waterfront.

I like Titanic stuff ... so it was interesting. Historical info. and items. Kids thought it was ok. If you are seeing the Battleship and looking for something else to do - stop in.

The museum is lovely, additionally it is a great setting for events. My fiance and I hosted a wonderful engagement party here. The museum manager, Paul Simister, was incredibly accommodating and ensured our party was a success. We had previously attended a wedding here and it was so fun and different. Check it out.

We visited the Marine Museum. The staff person was very helpful. We stayed for 2 hours and wandered around the museum. It is a nice easy place to visit. Plenty of on street parking and nice to walk around the area.
