We heard fabulous music in this intimate little theater and would definitely go back when in the area.

I've been to this theater a few times to see different shows. I saw an awesome Johnny Cash cover band here, called "One More Round", that was amazing! The singer sounded just like Johnny Cash and the show was just great. Also saw an Elvis cover band here that was really good. Great show and the guy playing Elvis was crooning to the ladies in the crowd. Lots of fun. They have a Southern Gospel band that plays every Saturday night, that is great and lots of fun! It's comprised of some local ministers and friends and not being a Southern Gospel fan, I became one watching these guys perform. The owners, Leonard and Debbie are super nice and very hospitable! It's a great place to see a show!!

Although free music is everywhere in Mt. View, it's definitely worth the nominal charge to sit and listen to professional musicians from the area who know how to put on a really great show.

Regular admission is $15.00 per person for 2 hours of music and laughter. The theater holds about 280 persons and the seating is comfortable. There is a $1.00 discount for seniors and if you grab a local paper, there is usually another $1.00 off coupon. We enjoyed a matinee at the Back Street Theater on Saturday, Oct 20, 2012. Clancy and the Rag Tags were playing . Clancy is 14 years old and won the state championship at the fiddler's contest this year. We truly enjoy the way she plays that fiddle and the rest of her group are also great musicians. Music is the life and soul of Mountain View, Arkansas. Impromptu groups form outside shops and in the park at all times of the day and well into the evening on most weekends and even some week nights. It seems most families here are musically inclined and encourage their children to participate by playing an instrument, dancing, and/or singing. You will find plenty of talent at Brickshy's Back Street Theater in Mountain View. There are usually DVDs of local artists for sale at entrance and an informal sitting area where you can meet the artists during the 1/2 time break. Snacks can also be purchased at the entrance. A nice break for the whole family.
