A stopover in Jonesboro, I wanted to visit "The Square" where most cities have their courthouse, & memorials. A local couple told of the County Building, with the Soldier Memorial. The WW I soldier statue, with its modern artistic silver prongs hovering over it, makes for a dramatic emphasis on the monument. We enjoyed strolling the area, with it's old public, church & business buildings.

This consists of a sign describing the skirmish at Jonesboro and a really neat memorial to all the military that has served from Jonesboro, AR. We spent 30 minutes reading the sign and the bricks with our heroes name on them. This does not take a long time, and is a neat stop.
