maplewood cemetery

We went to the Jasper area to see the fall colors. Lady in wildlife museum recommended we go to Maplewood. Got directions from the Super 8 and it was simply the best trees in Arkansas and SW Missouri.

Being there every year during falls just to check the Fall foliage. Beautiful and calm place . This year though it isn't best compared to previous years due to frequent rain and storm

I would recommend this stop for anyone who likes to see fall foliage. The maple trees in all colors are absolutely beautiful in the fall when the leaves change. I personally took my daughter & her friend last year to this place to take senior pictures with the tree colors it was a perfect background. The grounds are kept up nice and the history is there. It does get crowded at times people looking just like you. It is a nice addition to a tour of what the ozark mountains have to offer in a fall foliage tour. Would recommend going here and then stopping at Neighbors Mill for something to eat!

In the fall Maplewood Cemetery is on of the most photographed places around. Absolutely beautiful when the leaves turn!

I've been here several times, mostly in the fall. As you can imagine, it is called Maplewood because there are hundreds of maples throughout the cemetery. It is a very nice cemetery to visit anytime, but in the fall, it is really a gorgeous site to see all of the red-orange hues when the leaves start to turn color. In fact many locals have family pictures made here in the fall because it is such a nice setting. It's also interesting to walk thru and see the different graves. There are very new ones and extremely old ones. Notably, the founder of American Freightways is buried here. This business, which is now known as FedEx Freight, provides many jobs to the local community.

The cemetery is beautiful in the fall. The trees are large and vibrant with color. The grounds are kept beautiful year-round! It is a great place for family pictures.
