The Public Lands info center is a great place for visiting educators. Lots of info is available that can be used in the classroom when studying US history, Alaska, the arctic, national parks and more. The staff is very helpful if you are planning backpacking/hiking trips in public use areas. They also have well designed informational displays about different regions of Alaska, the local people and culture of each area.

Let's see alaskan life in the bush. Life along the rivers. Great videos. Helpful staff. Also visitor center to get information on places to stay, visit, eat etc.

The title says information center, and that is truly one of the things that is there. There are plenty of personnel to help you with things to do and to see in Alaska. The other thing that is here is a pretty good museum as well. Of course, it is all about Alaska. It is very well done. There are also some movies which are good (although the Aurora Borealis one is fairly boring). We spent a couple hours in the museum and in the theater. It is definitely worth the trip.

I thought i'd jump in quickly for a map! LoL - the friendly ladies was well informed on all the questions and information sharing! Printed matter on everything - and more!, if ANY questions on the region and Fairbanks, thats the place! Well worth the visit!

We always stop by to get information for our canoe trips in Alaska. If the staff don't have the information, they will provide you with contact phone numbers. There are also interesting movies available, a nice little museum, and lots of brochures.

In the Morris Thompson Cultural center. have numerous brochures & personnel are more than willing to answer any questions no matter how trivial. Apparently have good maps for back-country expeditions(we do not hike, so only glanced at them).

An excellent visitor center with a nice museum. Enough tourist info to cover the entire state. The visitor center I have ever seen

Checkout the movie presentations. We learned so much in such a short time at the center. The rangers were very courteous and knowledgeable. The displays and information were helpful with our introduction, history and planning for our visit to Alaska
