We have been stopping here for at least 15 years and are never disappointed. We stop on our way to Gulf Shores and on our way back home. They have the best fresh strawberry shortcake with great whipped cream or ice cream. They also have great pies, cakes and ice cream. I tried the tomato pie for the first time this trip it was delicious. If you don't know if you would like it they have little individuals pies. Produce is great. Local honey very good. Have a treat or a snack and get your shopping done before you get to the beach. We always go back!

Burris Farm Market is a must stop on the way to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. We stop on the way in and the way out. Their produce is varied a fresh and the bakery/kitchen produces some of the best yeast bread and whole wheat you have ever tasted. Their candies and desserts are great. They used to close around Christmas but now they are open all year - much to our delight. Be sure and stop when you drive through Loxley but watch for it. Sometimes there is a giant strawberry out front.

It is tradition we stop here every time we go to Orange Beach. We stock up going in and coming out. Wonderful goodies!

We have patronized Burris for at least thirty years. In the beginning it was a true farmer's market selling local Baldwin County produce. You can still purchase locally grown, but you may also get melons from Arizona or peaches from parts unknown. If you want fresh, local produce from Burris, don't assume - ask. On the other hand, the bakery and kitchen on site are excellent.

Get great produce picked fresh every day from the fields. Large selections of home made breads, jellies, jams, fresh local honey and in the back of the market they have a small deli/bake shop. The peach cobbler aroma is drifting through out the market. You must visit this little 50's /60's shop in back.I got the chicken salad sandwich. They make the salad several different ways some has grapes some is made with nuts...... all very good and their deserts are amazing. Strawberry cheese cake, cobblers, pies, and of course ice cream. Have lunch and get your produce all one stop.

We bought beautiful tomatoes, squash, zucchini, new potatoes, beans, peach butter, and pepper jelly. Awesome selection.

We always stop here on our trips through Alabama and Florida on I-10. The vegetables are so FRESH and good. We bought ear corn, tomatoes, and cucumbers on this visit, and they were all excellent. Wish we lived closer so we could visit on a regular basis, but we're in Houston, Texas.

The tomato pie from the bakery here is delicious. The produce is a little pricey but everything we bought was fresh. We also bought a blackberry cobbler from the bakery. It was good but nothing speacial. I would definetly stop here agin just for the tomato pie.

The tomato pie is out of this world! Highly recommend stopping to pick one up on your way to the beach

They are a little pricey when it comes to some of the produce, but they have some heavenly desserts!

Yes, we are tourists. Yes, we like this market. Why is that so bad? I like the fresh fruits and veggies and my husband likes the bakery. It's not often that we find a place we both like. We did not expect to find a lot of fresh, local items due to the season but we did find some local satsuma oranges which are some of my favorites. The strawberries were a little pricey so we passed on those this time. Oranges, little red potatoes and a pecan pie and we are good for the upcoming weekend.

This is one of my favourite stops in Loxley AL area. Great produce. Yes many tourists come but there are also locals there too...

It seems like a lot of the produce is fresh.. it is kind of "hit and miss". The fresh produce is very fresh and good. If the produce is not in season, you just have to use your best judgement. Strawberries aren't in season and some of them were moldy... but the fresh produce was top notch. There is a bakery in the back. I tried the strawberry cobbler with ice cream and it was exceptionally good. Definitely worth the stop as you are leaving Gulf Shore for the ride back home.

Sure, they stock seasonal local fruit and veg when they can, but the prices and selection are more geared towards the passing tourists. It's a big place and not everything is local; in fact I believe country of origin is missing on a lot of stuff that's imported from elsewhere. The bakery on site is just average at best, too. There's a little stand just south of Burris called Loxley Farm Market which I actually prefer, but I'm weird. The best market in the area is actually in Daphne, a place called Allegri at Daphne Avenue and Hwy 181. They have a nice assortment of Amish foodstuffs, a lot of locally grown produce (some on their own Allegri farm!) and even raw milk and other Alabama-local products. It's smaller, almost as pricey as Burris and always super busy, but it's definitely a notch up on the quality ladder. Worth the short drive from Burris, IMHO.
