It was neat, but small and didn't cost a lot. You can kill a couple of hours in there. Kids will enjoy the visit too.

Was there for a special exhibition on the history of brown cotton. There are many exhibits and there is an observatory show that introduces you to the constellation stars and planets.

I stopped here on my way through Louisiana. Temp dinosaur display was well done, informative, and well done. I particularly like the school of design creations. Brilliantly done-geniuses in the making

Visited with our 7 year old granddaughter. Interesting displays and a planetarium. It was a fun afternoon.

lovely museum with private amazing dinosaur collection & planetarium shows; can park at meters & stroll downtown cafes; staff & manager go out of the way to make you feel welcome to museum & Lafayette; clean place & very cheap admission

I've been here a couple of times as I live in the area and due to my love of science and discovering things, have enjoyed visiting the museum. As an aspiring astrophysicist, my personal favorite is the planetarium. They always have polite, kind, and informed employees that work there. Even as a 15 year old today, I enjoy this museum and hope that others do too.

Stopped in here with my girlfriend who lives science type stuff. The museum was much smaller than I was expecting. The price was about right for what you got. We did the star exhibit which was pretty cool, don't miss that. The gems and dinosaur bones were kind of cool. A few small exhibits otherwise. I probably wouldn't go back, but if you have an hour to kill or so this might be an option for you,

We had a couple of hours to kill because it was raining, so we went here. It was my husband and myself and our three children ages 8,7 and 2. We go to lots of museums when we travel so we aren't newcomers to science museums. It was cheap enough to get in: $5 for adults, $2 for kids and the little one was free ( under 3 I think) so $14 total. It was in a nice part of town, parking was fairly easy and we parked in metered parking about a block away. The main exhibit was dinosaurs and was okay. My 8 year old who normally really loves dinosaurs wasn't that into it. It was just a lot of replicas of skeletons, some fossils and then they had some random rocks, minerals and geodes. They had a small section of things upstairs that were "interactive" but again nothing to hold our kid's attention more than a few minutes. They had a nice play area downstairs the little one liked. Had some of those plastic playhouses, a train table and some legos. They liked that. Not anything to do special, but if you have a few hours to blow it was fine.

If you happen to be in the area, this is a nice museum. It's small but it tries hard to balance children's museum with science museum. The exhibits are a mixture of things that could be enjoyed by young children and older children. All employees were friendly and engaged us in conversation without us asking. The museum had a large selection of dinosaur bones/fossils/and rocks. I am unsure if these exhibits are permanent so do call ahead, but if you have a dinosaur lover, this will be a great stop for them. The museum also had a nice section about weather/space etc. Elevators were available, bathrooms were large and clean. Pictures are included.

It wasn't as big as I thought it would be, but definitely worth seeing the exhibits. I'm always impressed with the dinosaurs, they also had a lot on the space travel and one of the guides was well informed about various space flights

Never pass up an opportunity to visit a local science museum. We spent a good hour or so viewing the various exhibits and talking to the Curator. Very enjoyable. Interesting exhibits about the solar system and space travel were also included.

We moved here from Round Rock, TX and are used to much larger museums. This one is small but does not disappoint. I like that they have several interesting and quality exhibits in sucha small space. Stop by and check it out if you get a chance.

If this museum functioned as a standalone planetarium, this review would be excellent. The programs offered for the planetarium were interesting and our guide/program operator was very knowledgeable about the constellations and answered every question concerning the space station with great detail. The rest of the museum, aside from a few interesting moon rocks, seemed devoid of any actual collection or pieces of interest. There was too much space to walk around in, and not enough exhibit. The museum was very clean, however.

I wish that they had more support from the public. That way they could have better exhibits. Love the planetarium and the gentleman who leads the talks. He is the best.

I like to visit museums and I like this one too, few things in there I have never seen before. It was worth visiting.
