merryville historical society & museum

The Museum is operated by volunteers. On the property, it has an old cabin and the main museum building. It covers local history, from farming, industry, and military memorabilia. For Touring cyclists only their is a cabin that will sleep two and it has a shower cabin. During the warmer weather the American Cycling Association brings groups to this museum and they are allowed to camp on the property. It just a very nice place to stay, and the Historical Society people are just wonderful. The Fee for both the Museum and the cabin/showers (Touring Cyclists only) are on a donation bases. There is a very good restaurant just up the strew, Stu's Grill. Best burgers in Louisiana.
