this tour is well worth the price and was cool to learn about gator history. the best part was being able to hold the baby alligator

The tour was great. The swamp was beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife including alligators, turtles, snakes, birds, armadillos and raccoons. Captain Jason was knowledgeable and entertaining. Would recommend to anyone visiting the New Orleans area.

Our guide Jason was both fun and informative. If you want to see alligators and turtles in the natural habitat this is a wonderful tour. Jason was even able to show us a few baby alligators. During the tour we even had a chance to hold an alligator and take pictures with it. Would definitely do this tour again.

Jason was our your guide and he was great. He knew where all the alligators would be and got them to come close to the boat for photos. He was also very knowledgable and we asked him a heap of questions. He also had some funny jokes throughout. It was overcast and drizzling but we still saw 30ish alligators. We also got to see baby alligators which was cool. Very worthwhile tour!

Glad we chose the flat bottom boat--recommended for a first tour. Our guide, Brent, was energetic, cordial and knowledgeable. We saw dozens of alligators and turtles and beautiful birds. Brent told us about the formation of the bayou and the different waters that merge. The cypress trees and foliage were beautiful though it was early March. I held a live alligator (about 3 feet long). The weather was perfect for the tour. Bonus: the tour bus picked us up at our hotel which added the benefit of seeing a bit more of NOLA. We'd do it again!

Capt. Jason was AWESOME! He was so funny and patient with the kids who were super excited on the trip. He was very knowledgeable and share some really interesting facts. My husband was hoping for an airport with the speed and all but he totally enjoyed this tour.

Our guide was Cap'n Dave, and he was a hoot. He injected humor in his excellent commentary about the swamp, bayou, canal and marsh. We saw many turtles and gators, one about 11 feet long. We also saw Blue Heron and Egrets. As a surprise, Cap'n Dave brought out a young gator, about 3' long, and allowed anyone who wanted to hold and be photographed with the gator, even young'ns - he taped the mouth shut for safety. A good time was had by all.

Took the 10:45 am tour with Jason. Jason was a very knowledgeable and personable guide. He knew where to find the gators, turtles. He was also knowledgeable about the flora and the fauna. Would recommend this tour to everyone.

But no gators, boo hoo. It was more a trill trip than a wildlife spotting one. Too cold for the gators I think when we went in mid February, but some birds and we did see a couple of live Nutria rodent (Coypu) that is now a pest in the area. The air boat makes too much noise to see the birds properly, it just scares them off.Good guide, obviously passionate about what he does and the life he leads. It is amazing to see the vast area of swamp land. This was only swamp tour I could book on line and they pick up from hotels if required for extra fee. all worked well. Bus dropped off for larger boat first. Bit of hanging round when dropped off in the middle of nowhere but ok once trip started and didn't have to wait too long for return bus.

This tour was so much fun! We were able to see many gators and turtles on the day that we went. We also saw quite a few birds. This tour was very relaxing and informative. Make sure you have your camera ready because you will be taking a ton of pictures. It was so cool being so close to gators. We also enjoyed holding the baby gator and taking pictures with it at the end of the tour.

We came to New Orleans to go to Mardi Gras and decided to see more. You can't visit New Orleans without going on a swamp tour. But, if you are going to see wildlife I suggest not going until the end of February or March. Any earlier and the wildlife is non-existant. We decided to do the more intimate, smaller passenger air boat tour, this one seats 6. We had a great time and seen some beautiful country. Our tour guide was so cute and informative. He did have a small, about 18", gator on board for us to hold. That was fun. Next time we go back to New Orleans it will be warmer so we can see more wildlife. The cool thing about this company is that you can pay a little more to have them pick up up from your hotel.

We went touring with a realky cool guide that did his best to both tell about and the impressive wildlife in the swamps. Especially impressive wasthe find of a gator-mother with 6-7 little gatorkids on her back. Fantastic. Absolutely a safe bet for exploring the wildlife

What better way to see alligators then in their home? Visiting the swamp and bayou in New Orleans is a great way to see other parts of the area around New Orleans. The tour is entertaining, not too long so the kids don't get bored, and gets them to learn about the swamp areas plus see lots of wildlife. This tour is actually for all ages, interestingly enough we were the only family with small kids, adults were having as much fun as my boys. This is a great way to spend the morning or afternoon and you can see something totally different.here are some photos and video of our trip and what you'll see while visiting:http://www.jeanlafitteswamptour.com/swamp-boat.htmlAnd don't forget to play with the animals they have rescued as well.
