the children's museum of the ohio valley

There were a lot of fun things for my seven year old to play with. She was the only child there when we visited. The attendant was very hands off, which was fine with us. We really enjoyed a lot of the activities they had set up. There was a ton of moon sand on a light table and a black board to paint on with water. Surprisingly, we spent most of our time with the magnets, pingpong balls and paper towel rolls section. It gave us some good ideas for things we could try at home as well. The only thing I didn't like was there wasn't a lot of adult seating. It was clean and well maintained. This was a great way to spend an afternoon indoors. It was fun to explore and play with my daughter.

I like how organized it is but yet the children have a lot of choices in things they want to do. The Director Patricia Croft, is always searching for exciting new ideas for programs to occupy their mind and spirit

We went to this place to let our 2 year old burn energy. The lady that worked there wasn't very helpful into making sure our son saw/did things! The place is VERY old and dirty! the worker had 3 kids there (i guess homeschooled)they younger 2 ran around w my son for a lil then that changed when the oldest come out to play, they were very mean to my son. Im OK with him getting pushed around a little as thats apart of life but they were being very BAD and mean! he wanted to play with them and they would push him away and throw things at him and tell him to get away. :( so we didn't stay long and i wont return ever again!

Small but packed with lots of fun!! My girls really enjoyed being inside a bubble & climbing the rock wall.
