I came to Davis, WV on a trip 5 hour trip from MD. My back had been aching for days and the trip didn't help. While wondering around the town on Friday, I was Cory's sign so I called. I scheduled an appt for the following day. Needless to say, I honestly was not expecting much being in a small town and getting a last minute appt. Man, was I pleasantly surprised! The shop is in the main part of town. I parked right out front of his business. The place was tastefully decorated and quiet. It was clean enough to impress the pickiest Marine Drill Instructor after inspection. Cory listened to my needs and quickly developed a plan for the session, which we discussed ahead of time. I normally don't care too much about some of the stuff Cory is certified in (yoga, getting in touch with yourself etc) and I actually shy away from them. But he didn't force any of that on me. During the session he ensured he was using correct pressure and that his technique was acceptable. He used several different techniques to really help my back feel better. I booked an hour massage and received a full 1 hr massage. I hate the therapists that spent 10 mins talking in the beginning and 5 mins talking at the end and the actual massage ends up being 40-45 mins. Not the case here. I checked my watch to be sure. I get massages regularly. I travel 60,000 miles annually both nationally and internationally and have been for 25 years. I have had massages all around the globe ranging from awful to holy cow, when can I come back. I book my travels around my massage appts at times. CORY WAS DEFINITELY IN THE TOP THREE THERAPISTS I HAVE SEEN!!! Go see Cory at Sankofa Massage. If you are looking for a legitimate Therapist who is reasonably priced, he is the one. Tell him Mark sent ya!
