I have been going to Audra since middle school. I have only really gone to the river and hung out. The trails are always kept up and the other areas seem to be neat & tidy.

Audra State Park in central WV has one of the most beautiful and scenic rivers along with one of the best 1.5 mile +- hiking trails in the eastern United States. The campground along the river begs to be camped in. You can go from your campsite to the river in seconds. Swimming in pure mountain water is the greatest feeling to experience. Friends of mine have named their daughter Audra after this park. Truly a wonderful place to visit.

This is a very nice state park that offers some nice views and time on the Tygart River. It could use a little more maintenance in some areas, but the low maintenance keeps its rustic feeling.

This natural Waterpark located in the mountains is great. I could not keep my kids out of the river. First thing in the morning the kids would grab their tubes and hit the lazy river with views that were stunning. They would next climbHugh sandstone rocks and jump in to clear deep pools . They would wear their selves out then come back to Hugh picture perfect camp site right on the river for grilling and good fun.

This State Park is more for the tent camper (which we are). The location is remote, but the scenery is second to none. Multiple camping sites located right on the Middle Fork River. Park has two hiking trails, but the Alum Cave trail is the best of the two and offers the park's signature boardwalk under the rock cliffs. Decent shower/bathroom facilities and a camp store are on site as well. If you like tent camping, this is one place you need to visit. You won't be disappointed.

This little state park is a dream with lots of water (an actual river, not a swimming pool with chlorine!), great big rocks in the middle of the river to sunbathe on, groomed trails, lots of shady trees, friendly folks, a campground - all located down a small two-lane road which hides the best kept secret of the area! It's a shame there isn't a restaurant or at least a snack stand on the property.

The Middle Fork River that runs through Audra is a favorite for playing in the water in the summer. It is very scenic with big boulders and small waterfalls. The campground has about 68 spaces with some of the sites having the river as your back yard. There are about 3 miles of well groomed hiking trails. The trail along the river goes by Alum Cave which is really a long area of overhanging rocks. This is a very nice park and I highly recommend a visit when in the area.

I grew up near this park and learned to swim in the Middle Fork River. The park is lush and has camping, picnicking and great hiking trails. If you are in central WV, take the time and vist. you won't be disappointed.

Audra State Park is near Belington, West Virgina. The best way to experience is spring, summer, and fall in a swimsuit.I often pity the children of today with the various variations of "splash Pools."Audra State Park is a natural West Virgina wonder best enjoyed by families of as a date, but do be prepared to get wet/
