Dear Ma'am, we apologize for your difficulty in navigating our webpage as no other clients have shared the same concern. We will definitely try to work out the kinks. As far as your trip being cancelled on short notice, my son was in a severe car accident resulting in him being in critical condition in the ICU for almost a week in a town several hours away. Glad you were able to find an accommodating outfitter on short notice. My son is going to be ok after what will be a long, grueling recovery!

My husband and I took our kids to Bear Paw for our first horseback ride. We all had a wonderful time riding through the beautiful Montana land. The guides were very friendly and helpful, teaching us how to ride and what to expect on the trip. The ride was just long enough (2 hours) to have a good time and be able to walk after the ride! I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wants a relaxed, beautiful outdoor experience.

After reading the website I expected amazing service from the start, immediately after answering the phone I was asked to state my height and weight. Both members of my party easily met the 240 pound weight limit but after reluctantly giving up the exact weight ( under 200 pounds) the women replied with "oh a little on the heavy side". Not very good business. I was told to wait for a call back to see if they could accommodate our weight capacities. After a very rude callback we were finally told that we were too heavy for this particular day trip.

There is nothing that my buddies can say to express the way we feel about the fishing experience that we had with Tim and Kyle. they we very professional and patient with us first timers on horses. The horses were well mannered and well cared about. Tim is a man who cares about his horses as much as his clients and has a no nonsense approach to his work but is what is required in that type work so that everyone has a safe trip. We saw country that we probably would not have seen any other way and the fishing was phenomenal. Our age group 45-68 Neil from back East

I have been going to Bear Paw since I was a teenager in 1986! It never fails to impress. A family run outfit that gives you a real MT experience in an incredible surrounding. No clue what is wrong with the few individuals that gave this outfit a negative review. I'm guessing these are people who are never pleased with anything. Especially the "ignorant idiot" that wrote about the wolf piece. This is a review of a business, not the owner's opinions on unrelated topics. That review doesn't belong on tripadvisor. If you are visiting Livingston, MT or the surrounding areas, be sure to book a trip with Bear Paw!

I reluctantly agreed to do a horse ride in Montana being I own horses and have ridden all my life. But with the pressure of my family of 5, I booked a trip with Bear Paw Outfitter, because they seemed like a family business not a tourist trap. Tim and his grandchildren took us on the ride after a safety briefing. The horses was well suited for each rider. The ride was great we rode in meadows, cross streams, through the woods and the view was awesome. It was a true family atmosphere. I would highly recommend a trail ride with Bear Paw Outfitter. Our trip was only two hours I wish we would have rode longer. Although we were all experienced horse riders anyone would feel comfortable riding with Tim and his family. The ride was one of the most enjoyable parts of our trip. Our family had a wonderful time.

We went on a horseback ride at Bear Paw Outfitters and it was one of our favorite activities. Our two kids thought the ride was great, not too hard and not boring. The scenery was amazing. Tim and Emily were very helpful, knowledgable and made us feel comfortable on our horses. By the way, their horses are so gentle. We will definately be back!

Emily and Tim were awesome guides! Tim runs a tight ship and I appreciate that!! My daughter and her husband have never ridden before, and Tim and Emily made them feel comfortable and safe. The views were spectacular! Emily is also a culinary chef and photographer which helped with snapping photo ops! We will definitely use Bear Paw Outfitters again!

We just returned from a wonderful experience at Beer Paw Outfitters. We enjoyed a peaceful and enjoyable ride into Paradise Valley and found the staff to be polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The ride consisted of a serene walk through trails and fields with breath-taking views of the landscape. We stopped to take photos and the staff was very accommodating. We rode along with trail guides who were in training at Beer Paw's Guide and Packer School so we had quite a large group. They were all very friendly and helpful. This Outfitter was recommend by a friend and we drove a long distance just to experience what they had to offer. We were not disappointed. We highly recommend this company and will definitely be back! Thanks for an awesome experience!!

Is this the same Tim Bowers that was made to look like a completely ignorant moron on the PBS special about wolves? If so I recommend you watch it before you book anything to do with the outdoors with this looser. The show just makes him look ignorant and blind to his own back yard all for the sake of his own business interests. Now how can a idiot like that represent any part of the outdoors!

My family and I really enjoyed our 3 hour ride through Paradise Valley. Tim and his family were very nice and knowledgeable and it was to see how seriously they took safety, plus you could really tell the horses were very well taken care of. I have to add -- Tim's granddaughter was in the lead and such a nice young girl.An experience we won't soon forget (& haven't yet, our trip was this summer). Thank you!!

I enjoyed our 3 hour horse ride up in the hills above Paradise Valley. The horses are very big and strong. The owners are serious about safety both for the riders and the horses. We rode through a meadow, across a creek and up the hills to enjoy a spectaular view of Paradise Valley below.

My husband and I just returned from a three day pack trip with Bear Paw Outfitters. I just want to recommend this family run company to anyone who is looking for a real adventure! Being a "horse person" I found the livestock to be well cared for and trained to do their job. Tim Bowers and several of his family members hosted six of us at their camp high up in the Absoroka Mountains. They operated in a professional manner and were knowledgeable and fun! Emily prepared delicious meals. The camp was comfortable and we even keep dry during a short hail storm! The scenery was gorgeous as the wild flowers were blooming and the mountain views were incredible! All in all we found this trip with Bear Paw everything and more than what we were expecting. A true western riding experience!! We hope to join y'all again soon!

For the last three summers our daughter has taken riding lessons from Emily at Bear Paw Outfitters. Emily has taught her many aspects of riding including bare back, side saddle, how to saddle, trail riding as well as washing "her" horse Cloudy. She always looks forward to going up to Bear Paw every week. Emily is very accommodating when times have to be changed, especially when she is concerned about the well being of the horses. She is always looking at the temperature and weather. In Montana, thunderstorms pop up quite often on summer afternoons. She doesn't want anyone hurt or scared. We have taken many family members and friends up to ride with Bear Paw and frankly would not use anyone else.

Nasty Father/Curt Daughter Team – Unless you like to be treated with threatening, disrespect, find another outfitter. It was inconceivable that someone would speak to a customer in the nasty accusatory tone as Tim did to us. He was down right menacing. Months prior to our vacation I spoke to someone at Bear Paw Outfitters about an all day ride for our girls. I was told riders leave at 9 -9:30 and return 3-3:30. The ½ day ride is four hours. I thought, okay, six hours will do. The morning we arrived Emily was rather abrupt in her greeting. I asked her what time to pick up the girls and was told 2:30. When I questioned 2:30 (5 hours) she curtly replied “2:30”. A few minutes later Tim, Emily's father, approached my husband and I and said “do we have a problem here?” We explained my conversation from a few months ago about the timing of an all-day ride. In a truly nasty and threatening tone, Tim said all their information is perfectly clear and I was wrong. The girls were out of earshot, were eager to ride, and it was our last day of vacation. If not for these factors we would have left that instant. When I picked them up after the ride (tip time), Emily had become friendly. I left no tip but wanted to give her this tip; treat customers with respect and never let your father near a customer – or anyone!
