From the welcoming atmosphere to the friendly staff to , most important, the beer. You will not be disappointed with Triple Dog. The IPA, weather a seasonal, or their "Hi-Test" Duck Face, is spot on. Hoppy, but not bitter. I only wish their schedule met mine. A growler or two for the house cures that though.

This brew pub opened earlier this year and has not looked back. The very young owner is also the brew master and I can tell you his beers are outstanding. He just won a silver medal for his Scotch Ale going up against over a 100 other breweries, quite an accomplishment for a new brewer. The pub is small but very cozy and has seating for about 30 people with a very nice stand up bar. They also have wood burning pellet stove which certainly makes it warm and toasty in the pub. The back part of the pub is where the tanks are for the brewing so one can get up close to see how it is done. They have at least 5 beers on tap with seasonal offerings. I have tasted most of their beers and have liked everyone even though I am partial to darker beers. Their offering in this range include a wonderful stout and I am told a porter is forthcoming. The stout had a wonderful flavor and was smooth with a super color It seems the IPA (they have two of these) is their most popular at this time of the year. The hefeweizen is certainly one of the more popular in the warmer weather. Of course, they will provide you with a taste of any of their beers and offer off sales in a couple of sizes. This is well worth a stop and being located on the west side of downtown right on Highway 2 it is easy to find. Do drop in and have a pint with the locals and a nice chat to the owner.
