I wish there was an above excellent rating due to the magic it exudes. For one my husband and I walked through after dinner on our first date. Second, two years later in 2000 we were married in this park which is available for weddings and other functions. I revisited yesterday and was again amazed by the beautiful fountain, the big magnolia, and sculpture. Much care is taken in maintaining this park. It is a very peaceful place surrounded by shops and cafes as it is on Bowling Green Square.

I was a student at WKU, and I sometimes kick myself because I had only gone to Fountain Square once during my time in BG.

It is a good place to visit year round and there are many shops and restaurants in the area. Explore! Take some pictures. Enjoy one of the better squares left.

We stopped for pics as we were passing. It was a sunny day and we took some great pictures. Well kept downtown square- nothing more to say.

We sat and ate lunch across the street from the park then walked through the park. We liked the plaques and information and the statues were nice. The fountain seemed a bit too blue and there was broken glass on some of the paths which we needed to keep our dog out of.

This is a must see park in the center of downtown. A small park that is maintained very well. The show piece is a beautiful old fountain. Great place to see, visit and take pictures.

We ate at restaurant here in the square & decided to take stroll thru park. It's shaded by big trees, many benches & nice fountain for pictures. Just a nice place to sit & people watch.

This is the prettiest town square I've ever visited. Fountain Square Park is the centerpiece, not just for the immediate downtown, but for Warren County as a whole. There's beauty, there's history, there's statues, flowers and a fountain. Any trip to Warren County should include a stop and a stroll in this park. While you're visiting, check out the local businesses boarding the square. There are plenty of places in the area to shop and eat.

It was nice to stroll around this little fountain after drinks and a wonderful dinner. Theres a horse drawn carriage that circles the fountain which makes the area so special.

This particular Saturday, Tony and I was out enjoying the gorgeous Sunny weather. We were out looking for yard sales with original intent to go to Louisville. But, we decided to URBAN HIKE downtown Bowling Green and I am very glad we did.We happened upon the Town Square, the actual Courthouse is located a few blocks over. So, this square is home to a gorgeous large Fountain. It is blocked out with flowers and memorials and is very lovely. It is actually more like a Town Rectangle but hey we will say square..it is more commonly known than rectangle..Fountain Square - historic Victorian fountain and city square in Downtown Bowling Green is very lovely. Check it out next time you are in the area and let me know what you think...Some history I found out about the Square and Fountain to share:While laying out the town that would be called Bowling Green in 1796, brothers George and Robert Moore designated two acres for the construction of public buildings. Those two acres today make up Fountain Square Park, a green and peaceful focal point for the revitalization of downtown Bowling Green. Restored facades of 19th-century buildings, a renovated Art Deco movie theater, thriving businesses and bustling professionals surround the park's historic fountain, statues, flowers, shrubs, mature trees and benches. Once the site of prohibitionist marches, trolleys, livestock trades and scrap drives, today it is the host of summer concerts, parades, arts and crafts shows and many other festivals and events throughout the year.I just loved the Victorian Fountain, I wish I knew more about the fountain itself.

When it is a lazy normal day, I enjoy just hanging out in the park and glorying in the free wifi! Then there are festivals and the park is full of hot rods, food vendors, stalls with homemade goodies, scavenger hunts, and nearby beer tasting to rock music! If you live in BG, you should be hanging out here already. If you're visiting, this can be a nice spot to take a break and plan the next leg of your trip.

So well revived and the fountain is stunning! Go at night and take amazing pictures in front of the fountain!! Wonderful atmosphere!

This is a nice park on the town square but it is too bad there aren't more businesses around it. There is so much potential for this little town square. The buildings have great character but quite a few empty storefronts. With the university within walking distance it is a shame the square isn't busier.

Music during summer afternoons and evenings....beautifully decorated during the Christmas/New Year season. Simply a very relaxing place to spend time to read or just watch the traffic circle the square. Quaint small businesses are located nearby and WKU is just a mile away. Have lunch or dinner at any of the several restaurants that are on the square or within easy walking distance.

Everytime I go to Bowling Green we head to the park as there is always something special going on whethers it's artists, cars, music or carriage rides. Surrounded by the old businesses of Bowling Green, some restaurants that have been there for decades. Just a delightful place to spend an hour or two alone or with family, friends.
