Every time we go up to Mt.A , we think why don't we come up here more often. There are some nice family trails and a story walk sponsored by the York Rec.Dept. for little hikers.Nice picnic areas . I've seen people with bikes so may be some are mountain biking. Keep trying to get up there for winter activities can only imagine snow shoeing and cross country skiing would work for those inclined .Have fun and enjoy our beautiful town.

Lots of trail options, including the Ring Trail that features pages from a children's picture book mounted along the way...very engaging!

not too strenuous of a walk but you can find trails that are longer and more challenging. well cared for and free. if you like nature, trees, quiet go there.

The loop trail is not too strenuous at a little over 2 miles. Take any number to trails off of the loop .2 miles up to the summit. Even on a cloudy day the views were spectacular from the White Mountains to the ocean. The spot was a ski area in the 60's and early 70's. A short drive from Ogunquit center.

We had been going to Ogunquit for over 30 years and did not know this gem was here. We saw a feature on Chronicle and had to check it out. We have hiked many 4000 footers so this was a nice easy hike to to the top in a pleasant forest with educational information along the way. At the top you are treated to 360 views which include the Atlantic ocean, view of the White Mountains and on a clear day Mt Washington. I would definitely hike this again when we are in the area. If you are unable to hike you can drive to the top and walk around and use the viewing platforms.

This is our second time hiking here, and my husband, daughter and I enjoyed the hike for the second time. This time we had additional family and friends ranging in age from 6 to 54 with varying hiking experience, and everyone enjoyed the day. We parked at the bottom and hiked up after stopping at the Wildlife Center. Everyone enjoyed the hike, the views from the top and having a picnic lunch together at the top before hiking back down.

We found out about this mountain from an advertisement on a shop door and we were so glad we came here. They have several long trails to hike up to 2.2 miles long. Some are very difficult and require experience in hiking to enjoy to trails. Picnic tables are plenty and there are some one up in the information lodge that are always shaded if the heat bothers you. Highly recommend to check out they even had a wedding reception on the summit with a violinist when we went.

This is one of my favorite places in all of York County. Whether its for a walk or an easy hike it is so peaceful and quiet you have to do it more than once. Once atop the mountain the vistas are beautiful.

We stopped here after picking up hot dogs at Flo's. We ate our dogs on the picnic tables at the top of the mountain and enjoyed the view!

Took a drive to the top of the hill. Ok. Read the info on it, took a bit of a walk around, peeked into the buildings, looked around. Best thing was we noticed the wildlife rehab center next to it and got to stop in there. Something different other than the beach.

What a find - never knew it was there, wonderful views of the ocean and the White Mountains of New Hampshire. They have viewing stands with info on what you are seeing. There is also a network of nice hiking trails. A great place to visit.

An off-the-beaten-path gem. Beautiful view of the mountains and the ocean. There is some decent hiking in the surrounding area as well.

Make it a point to stop here and spend some time. Many different trails to choose from and it is very kid friendly. The observatory at the top is great; lots of hands on activities for kids and on a clear day you can see so much!

Definitely try to go on clear day. White Mountains can be seen as well as ocean. It is a short drive from town and you can either park and hike up or drive. Either way I plan on going back with a picnic since they have picnic tables all around. They have several observation decks with nice views and porta potties, which was a nice surprise!

You can hike or drive up the mountain, no fees, bring your kids and your dog! You can climb up a fire tower. Bring your camera.
