Our family ranging from 11 to 69 managed the trek up and loved the views from the summit. The 69 year old, me, first made the climb when I was 11. The view is just a grand though you could see further when the fire watcher let you join him in the tower when I was a kid. Yes, the summit is marred by communications gear, but the joy is the views and the challenge.

August is the best time of year for this hike. Once you are at the top wills blueberries abound! My dad took me up here as a kid, but it was definitely a difficult hike even as an adult

This was a fun hike with the family ... A bit of a challenge in some spots ... The views were beautiful.. Glad we hiked it ...

This is a very popular short but challenging climb. The end results are a clear view of Buckfield, Turner and other areas in Maine. You can also see many of the ranges in NH

A short but steep (and sometimes slippery) hike up Streaked Mountain gives you some amazing views above South Paris and Norway.Traveling north on 117, go right onto Streaked Mountain Road. Trailhead is about half a mile on the left before a power pole. Sand/gravel on the left side of the road mark where you can park.Enjoy!

As a frequent visitor to the area who likes to hike its always nice to know Streaked Mountain is an easy up and down for most anyone with great views at the top. The actual top is a bit of issue as there are old decrepit buildings and old cables all strewn about.
