We were just walking down the main street of Lake Placid and came upon this church. Since the doors were open we decided to have a look. What a beautiful church. The stained glass windows were spectacular. I was very happy that on my way out there were postcards of one of the windows. Check this out if you are in the Lake Placid area.

We were welcomed to the 515 Wednesday service. Small and intimate. A lovely oasis for worship. An interesting structure as well.

Saint Eustace is the patron saint of hunters. Perfect for the Adirondacks. This place is quaint and has beautiful stained glass windows.

I visited Lake Pacid in the off season and visiting St. Eustace Episcopal Church was the best gift to myself. I wasn't prepared for how peaceful it felt. We were the only ones there and my time felt like a quiet meditation while taking in the beauty of the church. The Rev. Baker has his office downstairs and came up to greet us as we were leaving. He not only gave us a brief history of the church and the stained glass windows but also invited us to a potluck supper the church was having! The view of the lake and town from the steps of the church was lovely and yes, we stayed to enjoy the bells.

I think this classic and amazing Adirondack-architecture church is on the National Register. If not, it should be. Despite dating from only 1927, the church exudes a deep feeling of something much more ancient and spiritual.

Who would ever think the patron saint of hunters would be memorialized in a Tiffany stained glass window? Eustace, a Roman centurion, had a vision of Christ's cross in the antlers of a deer he was about to kill. He didn't, and as legend has it, he became a Christian, and was sainted. You can get the best cup of cappucino in in Rome in Piazza Sant' Eustacchio, and you can enjoy the most beautiful stained glass window in Lake Placid at St. Eustace Episcopal Church.

Five O'Clock service was about to start and St. Eustace Bells were charming the entire town with the classic sound of their beautiful bells. I so wanted to go and enjoy the service but...The stained glass and classic style of the church that sat on a corner on hill added so much charm to downtown Lake Placid. If I'm blessed enough to make it back to Lake Placid...I would so much enjoy going into the church and once again hearing those beautiful welcoming bells!

Go for a short visit to see the beautiful glass and wood. A gem for those who appreciate fine detail in glass.

It was a very small church, but it served it purpose. Everyone was very nice. A very nice service. They need more parking availability.

We were there for the Strawberry Festival and had a great time. Their desserts were amazing and we purchased some one of a kind items at the festival. Their Blessing of the Animals was really special. And it s a very pretty church to visit if you eave Fido outside with a friend.

Take a break from shopping Lake Placid and visit this peaceful chapel. It is just as beautiful inside as it is out.
