The Palace Theater is an absolutely beautiful venue, located close to local hotels & restaurants, easily accessible off Exit4B from I-787 southbound. Seating pretty comfortable. Audio was terrific but I think that depends on the band's audio engineer. We were there to see Get The Led Out, a Led Zeppelin cover (hate that word) band. Venue seats about 3000 and sight lines are OK. An improvement for music concerts would be to provide seating in the lower pit area, which years ago surely held the orchestra for movies, etc.. We were quite a ways from the stage with that pit in front of us (we had front row seats). My only concern was this: I sent many voice/emails to several Palace employees (including the theater's marketing director) in order to procure the band's advertising poster, located outside the building, under glass. The floor manager assured me this would be possible but to date no one has returned my inquiries. Very poor. Common courtesy would have been to at least respond.

A lovely old theater with classic architectural features. Great for smaller events, such as comedy and intimate concerts. Good views from even the upper sections. Seat rows are narrow and anyone over 5'8" will have to sit with knees bent at an acute angle.

Concert was fabulous. The venue was amazing. sound and line of sight perfect. Ian was in wonderful form as were all his band mates. Visuals thought evoking and warm ups via video interesting. Ian never disappoints.

I was staying at the hilton on lodge street and happened to meet one of the four Seasons (they sing back up for frankie Valli ) as our conversation progressed I was invited to go see the concert and I got back stage passes! Ahhhhh! When I pulled into n.y one of the first thing's I saw was the palace and was in awe. Little did I know that I would be in the center row four rows down from stage with back stage passes to see frankie Valli in two day's for free. What a Vaca and what a city. I love new York thanks c. I absolutely love going to this theatre - be it Joshua Bell and the Albany Symphony, a rock concert like Interpol, or even just for a movie (love to see Warren Miller on the big screen!). This is a beautiful old theatre with great sound. Haven't had a bad seat yet, but warning, there is no elevator so if stairs are a problem, you will need to get seating on the ground floor. There's parking at the Quakenbush garage just off the highway, adjacent to the Albany Pump House and an English Pub. If you go early in the day, enjoy a walk along the Riverfront, there's a barge for a nice drink on the water and lots of eateries on North Pearl Street. Plus McGeary's Pub across the street. Lots of choices!

The Palace Theatre is a great venue to see a concert or watch a movie. The acoustics there are fantastic. The theatre has been restored to its original grandeur, with its gold leaf painted ceiling. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of parking just a block or two south of the theatre. Very enjoyable!

We are used to old historical theaters but the Palace proves it can be historic but still comfortable. The seats are very comfortable and the legroom unmatched.

This theater has all the charm of the old time theaters, lots of architectural drama. The seating is comfortable, wide & extra leg room (making it extra comfortable for tall or larger patrons). And every seat is a great seat. Their movie. Series is amazing, and for $5 admission it makes it even better.

The palace theater truly is a magical place. I was in attendance for the Joshua Bell performance and it was amazing. I am looking forward to my next visit to the the theater.

We went and saw Theresa Caputo at this venue. It is a beautiful old building. Sure it needs a few updates specifically the bathrooms that are down a couple flights of stairs. But overall, the seats are comfortable and the theater itself is reminiscent of a beautiful old-fashioned theater. I would definitely visit this venue again. Plenty of free off street parking.

The palace theater is one of the best theaters i have been to. it was very clean and it is the perfect size, not to big or to small. I would with out a doubt go there again to see shows.

Attended a benefit held back stage. It offered a different perspective. Overall, over many years it is still may favorite place to listen to a concert. Recently it was given a total remodel. Highly recommend!

We recently saw Celtic Woman at the Palace, and just love the venue. The inside has hand painted murals and the most comfortable seats I have ever sat upon in a theater such as this.We parked on the street, but one can purchase parking for $10.00 at the time of ticket purchase online.

I love this theatre. It is replete with decor from the best of times of theatre. The Palace Theatre should be labeled a "Historical Site" for it has retained the beauty that once belonged to an era when live performances were elegant and entertaining.
