I have always gone to Manchester, VT to the Orvis outlet - but the one in Lake George is just as good - I found some great sales - the staff was very friendly and parking not a problem - there are a lot of other outlets in the area - At Orvis it is not just clothes but household items as well - they have mens and womens clothes. When in Lake George worth a trip to the Orvis outlet.

I've found buys that I wouldn't ever consider purchasing but the prices were solow and the quality so good it's impossible to pass up. Lots of discount outletsthat can take the (financial) worry out of shopping. Definitely worth exploring.

we went as a family and i was impressed with some of the shops. others, not so. we are from canada and our dollar is lower at the moment, so for me to go on a massive shopping spree meant i was really getting a deal. i found shoes at one of the stores worth it. i can't remember the name but it was in the outlet closest to lake george. the shoes were cheap there. i got a pair of merrell's for less than $40 bucks. the merrell outlet was expensive. i had been looking forward to going there for months. the coleman store, corning ware store, maiden form, and a couple of clothing stores were worth it. but other than that, montreal is cheaper.

Recently spent a day at Lake George outlets hunting for some bargains. Was disappointed to say the least. Nice stores, don't get me wrong. But felt I could do better at the mall armed with sale information and coupons to use on top of the sales! Favorite of them was Dress Barn as at least I found a couple of tops I loved but still cost me $70! And I do admit some of the stores had up some sale signage for 50% off the entire store. That was nice but one them was at Coach which brought the price of a $250 handbag down to $125 which is still too steep for this shopper. Nice to browse though. There were quite a few stores on both sides of Route 9 to shop and noticed many more being built. (only drawback of both sides of the road is crossing that bumper to bumper traffic in the summer!) But can't wait to see what's going to move in and hoping they'll have some real bargains and something to save me some money. I liked the way that in one area (where Dress Barn is located) there was an indoor court to walk to get to the stores for rainy weather. I will go back just to visit Dress Barn again and see what the new stores will be but many of the stores, I wouldn't waste my time looking in again.

Spent a few hours with my husband shopping while the kids were at Great Escape. A lot of good buys! Very easy to get around.

Don;t you just love a bargain - well the outlets in Lake George are some of the better stores - Coach, Banana Republic, Yankee Candle, Timberland, Eddie Bauer to name a few. Either travelling to or from upstate, this is my preferred bathroom break stop! I can go to the bathroom then shop. Once back on the road, I know that I've just purchased that month's bargains. I am, however, disappointed, with the Eddie Bauer store, as I have shopped for many years at the one in Woodbury Commons, which I find to have better prices, but don't let that stop you. Stores here are inside and out so if you go in the winter you can go inside to get warm. Food court isn't much, but I find it to be expensive, I'm sure there are other eateries in the area. Can't wait to go there again soon.

There are multiple outlets on this stretch of RTE 9 in Lake George but they are all different management. It is very awkward to cover all the areas without getting back into your car anddriving to the next grouping. It can be torturous mess with the parking and driving in this area.BUT if you go at off peak times the outlet selection is decent .

You can find some really good deals here. The Yankee Candle outlet is a “true” discount store, not like some other Yankee Candle shops in other outlet centers. Also, Banana Republic has some great sales, especially in the summer. Lots of places to shop for shoes and outdoor gear and clothing. Also, they seem to be expanding and adding more stores.

The parking lots were far, far too small for this complex, and even when we gave up, at 3PM on a Friday, it took over one hour to go 1.5 miles to get away from the outlets. Until they add some lights, or get some police to move traffic, avoid going anywhere near this complex in the Summer! It makes mid-town manhattan look like a highway........

Great place to shop, shops are closed by, easier to shop with children this way, good variety of shops!

The outlet stores that are found here are found in most outlets, but the service is excellent, the staff friendly and with the variety of stores, there is something for everyone.

Generally the same tat as every other out door outlet mall. But has some great deals at Orvis where some returned unused coats/hats/gloves etc go for a good price, has a fairly good Pubish place or usual low quality food service offerings. I would only stop if on my way to of from LG not worth a day trip there...

We were at the Lake George Plaza Outlet in early August. There are lots of stores and easy to get around, but we did not found any good savings. We found most items are same price as major stores. The outlets were close to our camping ground, we went there several time during our 1 week visit at Lake George.

We all loved the layout of the center. Everything was easy to get to and the prices and personnel were very good.
