My husband and I went to the New Years Eve event at the Yellow Jaguar. It was advertised as having a band, dancing and buffet. The cover charge was only $10 in advance so we decided to give it a try. The venue was nice, and very spacious. The band was good, nice dance floor, but there were very few tables/chairs so 95% of the people there had to stand all night. I could see people looking around for somewhere to sit, with no luck. We managed to find one stool and we took turns sitting. The buffet consisted of cheese, crackers, lots of pickles and later some what I guess was warmed over fried chicken. I wouldn't call it a buffet. We won't be going back next New Years Eve.

We went to celebrate a 50+ family member's birthday. The website said "free happy hour buffet from 6-10". We assumed this meant that happy hour started at 6pm. I arrived at 6:15 to be told by the door man that there was a $5 cover. Never has anyone charged a cover for HAPPY HOUR in the history of mankind, or at least in Buffalo, but i was told that it was because the band was getting ready to start. (Note: the band actually started at 8pm). There were 5 people in the entire place, and i was the sixth. This place has zero character, zero charm, zero deals, and zero interest. At 7 i asked the bartender what was up with the buffet which was advertised to come out at 6pm, explaining happy hour means people come straight from work and want a snack; If they hadn't advertised food i would've eaten on the way. The food came out at 7:35. It was a huge long table with one tiny cheese and cracker display and a pan of stuffed shells. I'm not going to complain about the lack of food choices because it was free, but only to say the food was gone very shortly. All in all, if you want a place to go for a good time, this isn't it. Happy hour sucks and any of the bands that play here are available at any number of local places on different nights.
