This is the best place to shop for handmade items. The owner is very nice , they serve wine and tea.

There are four buildings full of original crafts on consignment by the artisans, including ceramics, jewelry, furniture, candles--pretty much anything that isn't an automobile. (If local craftspeople built automobiles, you could probably buy them here, too.) The staff are helpful and friendly, and will offer you a glass of wine or cider or a cup of coffee pretty much as soon as you enter one of the buildings. It is a bit out in the country, but lots of folks from NYC consider a must-stop when they're in the area.
