This library is a throwback to the past. I only wish I could sit in one of the anterooms and smoke a cigar and sip whiskey.

Old and charming. Friendly staff. What can I say? As expected it has books. It is a library. Isn't this 50 characters yet?

Excellent collection. Ancestry available on own computer as long as you are on the library wi-fi. Staff was helpful.

Well organized genealogy department with local family history files and hard to find newspaper articles. Staff on duty to help.

I always like checking out new DVDs or ones that I haven't seen at this library. The librarians are very helpful and check-out is always fast.

This library is gorgeous! Love the history behind it. The programs they have for kids are wonderful as well and the staff are always so friendly and helpful.

This will not take you long to tour. If you appreciate architecture you you will enjoy the marble, the statues and murals. Parking is in the back of the library and easy to access.

Delapidated, shuttered, not operating, seems like the town is too broke to repair the place and open it again.

This was fabulous find, everyone should take a few minutes to take it in....WOW!!! Being Canadian we do not have anything with such beauty and history so it was lovely to see. The marble along was breathtaking and the murals unbelievable.

The smell of old smacks you in the face when you walk in. Please allow me to qualify my remark with the fact that I grew up on a farm and am pretty tolerant of, well-smells. The smell (and the noise) made it difficult for me to work or study there. The place presents a run down appearance, with antiquated technology and old books. A public library could be a source of pride in a city. Watertown has got a lot of work to do to get there.

The library was built by money donated by Roswell P. Flower, a governor of New York State. Beautifully redone in the past 5 years. Special place to visit.

The Flower Memorial Library is a must stop visit when in Watertown NY. The marble, architecture, furnishings and paintings are awesome. The library also has a great genealogy department plus any other department you would expect in a library. If help is needed, all employees and volunteers are very helpful and friendly. I visit on a regular basis.

I traveled to Jefferson County with 2 other distant cousins to research our family history. The Flower Library has a large room with many books on local and regional families, as well as quite a few books on other areas as well.

If you visit Watertown make sure you stop in at the Flower Library. The building is beautiful. Stop by and cool off in a lovely atmosphere. If you go on a Wednesday the Farmer's Market will be at the Museum's front door. There is a little bit of everything for everyone.
