This isn't where I go to ski. This is where I go to enjoy an awesome music festival called moe.down. It's in a beautiful location and the vibe is very relaxed. Skiing isn't a huge vertical drop but it's nice for what it is I bet.

Every year for 3 days we descend on the hills of Snow Ridge for the moe.down, it's a beautiful place to call home for a few days!

Small, but steep, mountains, spread out. No lift lines and lots of snow. Lift operators very friendly and attentive. Not a lot of variety for terrain - black diamonds and beginner slopes, little for the intermediate skier. A tip, bring your own lunch.

Plenty of runs, various age and skill ranges. Very, very helpful staff. Rental equipment was top notch. Will go back yearly.

Tug Hill gets more snow than most places in the country. That said, Snow Ridge isn't that big and not a true mountain. The trails span a broad hill and it can make for a lot of skating to get back to the lift. Awesome snow though!

This is a small hill, and only partially open during the week. The lifts are old double chairs, so don't expect to get to the top very quickly! That said, there's plenty of snow, the runs are great (though short) for an intermediate skier, there are no lineups, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. You can't beat the lift ticket prices (buy online ahead of time for a discount), that's for sure! I believe the part of the hill that is only open on weekends is serviced by a T-bar, but as we were there on a weekday, I didn't see it.

So heres the thing. The trails are spread apart. Perhaps that's why the ski prices vary here. For a beginner skier, this place is suberbly better than Dry Hill. Also more trails and more challenging for the advanced skier but I just was really impressed with thier beginner trail operation. They have a super easy bunny hill that has it's own lift. The lift is very slow moving and the "drop off" couldn't be made any easier to get off of. Nice job!Additionally, next to that lift, but just a very short hop away, they have another beginner hill that's like the next step for beginners. I really liked it cause it was a good one to practice my form. I'm an inter. skier on nice groomed slopes but a beginner on ungroomed or mogoly slopes. Now this chair lift is faster and the 'drop off" a little more challenging for a true beginner but easy for me.The main ski area was a hike to get to with ski's in hand and little ones. The bad part is that if you want to get back to the warming/food area etc, you have to hike it and it's a bit of a walk in ski boots and especially with little ones.My solution would be to have some sort of pulley system where you can hold on and it would take you back and forth . The other trails were more for an advanced intermediate and up. They were steep and not groomed greatly. Plenty of challenges for your advanced skiers. Lots of technique building oportunities. They were spread apart also but not like the distance as between the main area and the beginner slopes. If you have one beginner skier and one solid inter. or advanced skier, then you cannot ski down and meet at bottom. My husband didn't see one trail my son and I would have done comfortably but I stand to be corrected.Simply put, the areas are split. Plenty of trails as you can find out on their website but they are short. 500 feet is max steepness or verticle drop. I loved the lodge. Quite big and love all the extra room. Lots of tables too. Amazingly we came in for lunch and we were able to sit down where we had parked all of our gear at the table. People respected your stuff and your saved table which was unexpected. Food was really pretty good. Nice selection. The beginner lift operator George and Fred were very patient. Thanks for that! Great job on bathroom access. Ample in all areas. 4 out of 5 stars due to Ski patrol. Yes I was in the wrong to have my camel back hose sticking out which caught on chair as I was getting off. We had small mini back packs on and this guy chewed us out for a full 5 minutes. At first I was like, "ok, I get it" BUT then the chewing got so bad and long that I had to bit my lip from laughing. My husband wrote an email. We are 40 and 50 years old..and just sat there stunned as he continued..Other than that which kinda put a damper on our day, we had a great time. acker19@yahoo.com

Our niece choose Snow Ridge for her wonderful wedding reception. The Service was outstanding. They let us come in the day before and the morning of the reception to decorate and to bring in the cake. They actually had cooler space to store the cake until the reception! The food was awesome. The views were fantastic. The staff was very efficient and accomodating. They made it a very special day for all of that were there.

Basically you ride the life up and ski down a wide hill. Some areas are more challenging then others but good skiers will soon become bored.
