超华丽的剧院。因为我们心想既然来到这个荒芜的岛没事干,那么为什么不找找有什么好看的。后来发现了这个地方,不太远,如果不嫌太阳晒的话,可以直接走路过来。直接走进去看就是了,不用门票。

This Theater was redone. It is absolutely beautiful. Saw a Christmas show here, as well as attended my daughter's dance recital. It is not handicap accessible as there are no elevators. It is also hard to find parking unless you valet your car.

Been here for many shows. It is a beautiful old place, the decor is lovely. The Christmas show each year is a blast and often they get big names there. I saw Bill cosby perform, what a hoot

We have visited this theatre numerous times for different shows. No matter if the show was great good or bad we are very thankful this place is still around. Its the only one around in Staten Island.

The St George theatre is a historic place to see a comedy show, a music show, pageants, etc. The prices are pretty good but the seating is uncomfortable for the average and above average size people.

The St George Theatre is a magical venue that takes you to a wonderous place of charm and elegance. Each show you attend is enhanced by the surrounding beauty of the theatre and the lobby. Get there early to have a refreshment in the lobby and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you prior to your show.

apart from the usual delights of a theater of this caliber, the whole cast comes out after the show. They encourage you to converse with the cast and take pictures and authographs

I am all for old things being the it things. The set up of this theatre is like a mini radio city. I love it because you can see the stage from any seat. It was my first time here and it will not be my last. Close to my new house, great prices, municipal parking around the corner. More than enough Security, police officers are outside until the show is over and everyone is back home.

If you remember "real" movie theatres go to the St. George. The Christmas Show is an annual event for my grandaughter and myself. Just lookign at the restoration is fabulous. It takes me back to the days of going to the movies when these kinds of theatres were the norm.I've been to lots of shows at the St. George and it is an affordable, upbeat good time.

I didn't know what to expect of this theater given the neighborhood and location. It was a pleasant surprise to see how nice it was and how big it was inside. We saw Kathy Griffin's comedy show here, and it was a very enjoyable time.

We would never have discovered this place if it wasn't for the lovely lady running the coffee shop next door. If you're a fan of history, architecture, art or theatre you need to pop in this place if you can. It's free to go in and just wander round at your leisure. It's a shame most people don't take a stroll round Staten Island a bit more. There may not be much, but this was well worth discovering.

This theatre, reminiscent of the gilded age, is fully restored and active for performances including music, comedy and others. The staff is friendy and devoted. The theatre has also served as the setting for the TV show "Smash" and others. Its like going back in time - in a wonderful way.

This past Sunday, I brought my grandchildren (ages 6 & 4) to the St.George theatre to see a production of the Wizard of Oz. As it was also a fundraiser for the pediatric cancer center for the hospital I work for I was anxious to go. The last time I was at this theatre was in June of 1971 @ my Junior High Graduation. I remember this theatre as a beautiful old place. The theatre had been reconditioned several years ago. It is still as beautiful as I remember it. The seats in the orchestra had been replaced & were comfy. I did not get to see how the balcony had been refinished. Everyone in the area we sat in had an unobstructed view of the stage & the sound system made it easy for everyone to hear the dialogue on stage. I would definitely go back to this grand old venue to see another performance.
