Most guides to NYC mantion Staten Island on the last pages, and on the last page of that last section they mention the possibility of doing some urban exploring on the southern western point of the city, where you can find the Blazing Star burial ground, and a ship graveyard too. These aren't quite worth the journey (maybe if you have a kayak), but the really nice thing is the presence of Big Nose Kates down the road. From the street, it doesnt look like much, but when you get in, it is a nice spacious place, with plenty of beer for pretty much unbeatable prices in NYC, and there's a terrific sunny courtyard where you can do an activity mr Bloomberg probably doesn't approve of. The menu is good, we had the fajita's which were excellent.

You can't get a better burger, and yes that includes delivery. Awesome food, and you have to try the loaded potato skins.
