7 lakes drive

The Drive through a lovely lake filled park is refreshing and gorgeous. You get to see beautiful vistas of a state park laid our wonderfully. Many types of birds, wildlife and Flora are present. There are a number of spots that you can pull off the roads to enjoy the scenic beauty as well as some camping spots ands swimming places to either take a quick dip or sit down and enjoy an impromptu picnic. I believe that you need to get a permit to camp there but it makes a great outdoors spot close to the city to have an outing.

One of the more beautiful and engaging roads in the NY/NJ area. If you are a motorcycle enthusiast - this is riding at it's best. Looping roads allow for an hour of solid riding on twisty and turning backroads with wonderful scenery. You need to review the possibilites and make an effort to learn all access points and loops. Bring a camera and lunch. May not be The Dragon - or the Hill Country around Houston, but this is riding at it's best and most comfortable. West Point (Military Academy) and Bear Mountain observation point only minutes away. Spring and fall are phenomenal. Roads are all well maintained and well marked.

We are sure that by car this is beautiful but if you are in the area riding, this is a fantastic place to explore. Roads off of roads off of roads, each as beautiful and quiet as the one before.

In a stretch of 22 miles there are 7 lakes,absolutely beautiful views,there is a road alongside the lakes one can walk or drive there are hiking trails,I usually go to 7 lakes then go down the mountain to do shopping at the wood bury commons,which is a few miles away down the hill.The best time to visit 7 lakes is in autumn its absolutely gorgeous .The pictures I posted was taken in the winter.
