We've attended two Fridays in a row at Medina Threatre. The music was good the first night, terrific the second with excellent jazz musicians, Doug Egling, Mike Putman and Aaron Robinson. They played all styles of Jazz from difficult bop, to New Orleans, Blues and soft Jazz. Doug on reeds, Mike on guitar listened to each other, harmonized beautifully, like a Bach duo. Top local drummer, Aaron, hampered by a ailing wrist, nevertheless supported them ably. These performances were held in a attractive intimate lounge setting. There is a large performance hall, with comfortable seating, great sound and clever lighting. They have great drinks, fine food (limited menu) at very reasonable prices and friendly, accommodating service. This could easily become our favorite hang-out. No fees so far for lounge. Small fees for theater. This little community has so much to offer, Mariachi de Oro Restaurant, Zambistro's, the Mill, Old Shirt Factory(coffee shop), RR Museum, B&B's and more.
