My husband and I have been here many times. There is always a nice laid back atmosphere. The wine is good and there selection of musicians is just great. There are not many places where you can be sure of having a good time. This is one of them.Owners are nice and friendly and always welcoming.

Great lace to listen to local live music, enjoy good foods (pizza, wraps, deserts, etc.), and sample a nice variety of wines.

Very nice local winery, surprisingly good wines for Highland Mills, NY. I have visited other NY State wineries and none compare. This winery also offers entertainment from local bands and singers to cover bands etc and provides a very nice experience.

I am very sorry you did not have a good time while you were here. I cannot imagine that our winery would be pretentious since we are a very laid back, easy going place. Sometimes we have to be strict with people when they have had too much to drink. It is the right of the person behind the counter not to serve someone, and it is their responsibility as well. We really do love to have people have a good time, but not to excess. We would love for you to give us a try again, but if you choose not to, we understand. Peace.

My wife and I come her on Fri or Sat night. They have great music - no cover. Their wines are moderately priced and just fine. The music is the draw. The venue - 2 diff rooms- a small one and a large one -both are very intimate. You get up close and personal with the performers. You will be in store for a great fun evening!

My husband and I stopped by here one Sunday and had a great time. I loved the atmosphere and the live music. The wine was good. It was also nice that they had beer and cider. We will definitely come back if we are in the area again!

I am sorry that we had to cancel the band for our Harvest Fest. Doug O'Connor agreed with me that since it was pouring out it was better to cancel. We waited as long as we could, hoping that we could have them play since they are one of my favorite bands. The musicians in McMule would not have appreciated playing in the rain any more than having only a few people to play to under the tent. We got it out on facebook and on our website as soon as we confirmed with Doug, and I am truly sorry that you were in route when we cancelled. Since it was pouring out however, a quick call to the winery might have been a good idea. Peace

The vibe at this winery is comfy and the wines were delish! The Vineyards are beautiful and the staff was happy helpful and fun! There was a band playing on the outdoor stage and they were awesome! We enjoyed the tasting which was very well presented and we bought two cases to take home My fav was called Irene ( named after the storm of the same name) The Meade was also superb !! I will return ! every time my wife drags me to the Woodbury commons I will gladly go, IF we can stop by this place again!

Of course we cannot please all people's taste in wine, but if you had told your server that you did not like the sweeter wines, you could have tried many others that are more to your liking. We have very dry reds and red blends that you could have tried. We do make some sweeter wines and we make an award-winning Mead (honey wine) that is not to everyone's liking, but fun to try. I wish we could please everyone, although that is not possible in some cases. I would hardly call our wines "undrinkable" as you can see by the other reviews here. I hope you find a Hudson Valley wine that you like. There are many wineries here with wonderful dry reds such as ours. I sincerely hope you find what you are looking for. Peace

Palaia is the best winery in the Hudson Valley. I have been there twicein the last six months and hoping to make it a regular stop when not on the wine tour. They have great food, great atmosphere and always have great entertainment. All of the employees were very nice and accommodating while we were visiting.

I love going to Palaia... they have some terrific wines in a terrific setting. In a funky converted barn, you can nosh on some cheese, drink some specialty mead, and listen to some terrific music. In the summer, they have outdoor concerts and plays/musicals. Happy to see such a chill local business in the area.

Palaia Vineyards & Winery I always enjoy going to Palaia for some fine award winning wine and a good time. And now they have some excellent local craft beers for your drinking pleasure. They also have a nice assortment of snacks/finger food to nosh on while you have a great time in a friendly atmosphere. Their friendly helpful staff will help you chose the right wine or beer and make you feel right at home.Palaia also presents some of the area’s best musicians for your entertainment. They have 3 music venues for a wide variety of musical acts and plays. The setting for Palaia is an old historic barn which they lovingly restored. The quaint old feeling of the barn is very warm and inviting. It’s great place to meet old friends and make new friends.

We were charmed from the time we drove into Palaia Winery and realized it was a converted historic dairy farm! The Sweet Clover Farm and Barn are over 200 years old. The original farm house and carriage house are also on the property. The wonderful old "bank barn" houses the gift shop, tasting room, The Treehouse music room and the Sweet Clover room used for private parties and Saturday night bands.I must say that the gift shop is a blast! Lots and lots of great stuff, some beautiful water color paintings and other hand made items and lots of wine paraphernalia. The unique gifts are everywhere, even in the bathroom! I came out of the bathroom with a gift in hand to take to the cashier, how often does that happen, LOL! The wine tasting is fun in that period barn with the extremely high beam ceiling and you taste 6 wines for 5.00!We have been to some of the events, plays, contests, great bands, there seems to something going on all the time, summer and winter! Because we love history and tradition, the unique wine labels featuring ancestors from the owners family, has been something we've enjoyed from our very first purchase of wine. Speaking of the wines, the Merlot, Chardonnay & Joyful Pink are our favorites. We see they now are serving New York beers on tap also. I'll have to say that the employees and owners make you feel right at home from the time you enter the barn. It's obvious that they love people and want customers to love their winery. We sure do!

Palaia Winery is a great place to stop for a glass of wine and listen to a band or single guitarist on the weekend. During the summer I loved sitting outside under the tent watching music or a play on the big stage with a glass of Lemberger or a wine slushie. In the winter, I like being inside to absorb the unique atmosphere while sipping on wine and lately the craft beers. It is a comfortable place to have a conversation with a glass of wine and music.

We took a side trip after shopping at Woodbury Commons outlet and found this very cool funky winery.Highly recommended ~ the wines are delish and the owners are warm and friendly, make you feel at home in the vineyards. This place has a lot to offer- a picnic area , food , wine of course and even live music, day and night! and in in the shoppe lots of cool nick nacks and gifts - just a few miles down Rt 32 from the shopping outlet too makes a nice day trip !
