They've been in business for a year now and what a great addition to Greenwich! It is a brewery, so no food, and no tables or chairs (something about NYS law) I do wish they would get some pub style tables for the tasting room so your group can stand at a table at least (have seen that set up at some wineries in the state) They have a good presence on social media so follow them on Facebook for their current hours, happenings, etc. And the most important part - GREAT BEER! :D

Started by a couple of Argyle residents, this establishment resides in Greenwich in order to bypass the ordinances of not being able to sell alcohol in Argyle. This is not a “brew pub” as there is no food, this is a micro-brewery. Six different brews are currently crafted here, and all can be taken home in their marked growler bottles.Standing in the lobby, you can look through the glass walls to the rest of the building where the beer making process takes place. There are no tours back there, but the brewmasters are more than happy to explain the finer points of the process. At this point, Argyle Brewing Company doesn’t sell anything by the glassful (and not sure if that is a future plan), but samples are available for tasting. I sampled four of the available varieties. Altbier was a decent lager, Oatmeal Stout was thick and heavy, and the Red Ale was very tasty. My favorite was the Brown Ale, which had the right amount of “bite” to it so it was extremely pleasing.

Just added a sixth rotating tap to the menu. Regular lineup is a blonde, an IPA, an Oatmeal Stout, a Red Ale and an Altbier. Current rotation selection at the time of this writing is a Brown Ale.Have gone here many times since they've opened and I have never been disappointed (except when they run out of certain beers, but that's good for them). Mostly standing room due to NY law (boo) but both of the brewmasters are very congenial and move people through quickly. They also do a lot to support other local businesses, sell local Saratoga Crackers, and wines from two local wineries as well. If you're in Greenwich, it is well worth a visit!

I recently went there and tried a few of their new beers and I like what I saw loved what I tasted and was really impressed with the set up, The tasting room is small and I wish they had a few bar stools to sit at (but not sure of NYS law) as I have a bad a bad knee and standing there for over an hour no matter how good the beer is don't cut it. Its handicap assessable other than that. They have five beers on tap all are worth their salt but if you are a fan of IPAs this one is one of the best from the many craft brewers in the region. Check it out on your way threw to Vermont or on your way to points east.Tap RoomABC TapsMonday & Tuesday: ClosedWednesday: 4pm – 8pmThursday: 5pm – 8pmFriday: 4pm – 8pmSaturday: 11am – 8pmSunday: 12pm – 5pmPints: $6.00Beer Sampler Flight: $6.00blonde proofBLONDE ALENamed for Matt’s daughter, this blonde ale is lightly hopped throughout the boil with Willamette hops. It starts with resin, pine, rich caramel, toasted malt, and muted citrus. Underpinnings of caramel malt, tobacco, and toasted breadcrust take over the palate with a lightly bitter, dry finish. 67 IBUs.ABV 5.3%HOP TO IT – GRAB THE IPA!alt proofALTBIERUsing proprietary yeast, our German style Altbier has a spicy hop bitterness and nose that only noble hop varieties can produce.
