A highly enjoyable theatrical experience that includes opera with english translation, dance, comedy, drama and fabulous entertainers making limited appearances. Easy to access, priced right and worthwhile.

Went to an event at the Tilles Center....seats were terrific, but the program was different that what they distributed on arrival, and 2 songs short of what was listed! Very short event, not pleased.

This show at the Tilles Center was amazing! The pro's who were dancing were so entertaining, I did not want the show to end! The costumes were gorgeous and were perfect for the routines they were performing. I found the dancers to be so passionate in what they were doing, it was a pleasure to watch. The audience was able to vote for the winner and even though he didn't win, I think going forward he'll be winning many awards. His name is Dennis. My favorite dancer of the evening! One of the Judges, Oscar, boy can he dance! Another fabulous dancer! This show was much better than "Dancing with the Stars, Ballroom Twist, and all the others out there. By far this is the show to beat. Excellent, excellent!

The Tilles Center for the Performing Arts and the recital hall are conveniently located on Northern Boulevard in Greenvale, Long Island. It is part of Long Island University, C. W. Post Campus (yes, the cereal family); it is their former estate spread out over many acres. There is also the Hillwood Recital Hall, a smaller entertainment venue which is much more intimate. They offer, on both subscription and single ticket basis, a wide variety of entertainment. You can pick and choose what you like; subscription and senior discounts are available. Last night, my daughter and I enjoyed the U. S. Navy Commodores Jazz Ensemble, for free; all the armed services perform at the center on an annual basis. We have also seen ballets, operas, dance, comedy, musical and dramatic theater productions, and many featured performers. The seats are comfortable, and the seats are "sloped" so that you can see over the person in front of you. Refreshments are available at intermission. Ladies bathrooms get crowded, but wait is generally short. Parking lots are spacious, but getting out of them after the performances can be trying. You will not be disappointed with coming here.

Whether you come here for a graduation(many of us did in Long Island), or come see a concert or any type of performance...this place is really nice. The seats are fairly comfortable, the restrooms are clean and really you can't get a bad seat at this location. High marks to Tilles Center to continue providing a great place for Long Islanders to enjoy shows/concerts all year long. Never have to worry about parking(PLENTY & FREE) and many decent restaurants locally to dine before and after. My pick is BAR FRITES in GLENVALE(look it up!) Come see what you are missing!!!

I've seen a few shows there and found it to be a nice venue for a concert or show. All the seats are good, Even in the back. LIU Post is a beautiful campus for a before show stroll.

I have attended many performances here but walked out of several of them in the middle of the show. The audio engineer adjusts the sound many decibels louder than my ears can take. Also the ballet performances have canned music which sounds so warped when turned up so high.My friend described the venue as a large bomb shelter!
