We brought our granddaughter in 2012 so this past summer 2014 we brought our 8 month grandson as well. He loved it as much as she had. She thought it was just as much fun. Still a clean, friendly experience. Plan to go again next summer!! Great time for a great price. Good food, fair prices, I'm sold!!

We were on vacation in the Adirondacks on a very cold (for Floridians) July day. Our grandchildren have passes to Busch Gardens in Florida, so we were a little worried they would be bored at a small zoo We were so wrong. They were so excited to see the animals so close. They just ran from exhibit to exhibit, eager to feed the next animal and see them up close. In addition, the areas to use their imaginations, slide, climb and play made the zoo even more special for them. We have may too many pictures, but they show four generations of our family enjoying a day at the zoo and these make the priceless for us.

This is a family tradition to visit every year. The park is clean and inviting. The animals are well cared for, clean cages or exhibits and I have never even noticed a single fly in the park. There are slides for the kids and spacious picnic areas throughout the park. We always bring our lunch, though there is food to purchase, which we have, and it is good and non-expensive..There is also a train ride through the park that takes you among animals that are not caged and are breeding and nesting in the open. The best time to visit would be a sunny and hot day since the park is almost completely covered in trees of the Adirondacks...oh and I also forgot to mention the exhibit where you can walk among the white tail deer and feed them.. Special bonus of a coupon on the site to reduce the cost (was $15.00 this year and well worth it) and they only accept cash, but there is also a ATM on the premises....plan a day there, you will not be disappointed.

Fun trip, plenty of animals to interact with and feed. Was well worth the price, was better than expected, especially the guided tractor tour portion.

My children love this place. We have been going every year since they were young. It is exceptionally clean and the animals seem very well cared for. There are never any significant crowds. The exhibits are sprinkled throughout a nice walk in the woods. There are lots of climbing structures for the kids throughout. The safari is part of the ticket price to enter and it is always a hit! This place really is a gem!

We took three children -- ages 5, 4 and 8 months -- to Adirondack Animal Land on a Friday in August based on numerous Facebook recommendations. Everyone on that social media post had something complimentary to say, and I can see why. AAL is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The safari ride was a-mazing. You see camels, ostriches, pigs, a buffalo and more. The tour guide was funny and engaging (I believe his name was Ty) and he encouraged the camels to come right up to the open-air safari bus. Previously, I'd read the it's best to sit on the back of the wagon for the best "up close" experience. But, on our trip, the animals definitely favored the driver's side of the wagon. All the children on the safari were delighted and none were scared. On the grounds, you can interact with pretty much all the animals (goats, giraffes, cows, a horse, deer) other than the bears and wolves. The animals are gentle and love guests. Bring cash as they don't accept credit cards and you need quarters for the animal food. Also, I recommend a picnic lunch. While there's a small (affordable) cafe, the selection is exceptionally limited (hot dog, hamburger, chicken sandwich) and not that impressive (taste-wise). There are plenty of picnic areas and most of the people we saw had lunch with them (brought in). It's small enough that kids can walk around without getting tired, but not too small that they get bored. Most of the park is stroller-friendly (except the bathrooms, as they're up a few stairs) and parking is easy, and free. I strongly recommend this attraction to anyone who not only likes seeing animals, but interacting with them.

We took our four year old and two year old here and they had a great time. Our visit was between 12:30 pm and 3:45 pm, and it was very shady and cool as we walked around the park. We really appreciated the way the park was laid out. There were three "playground" areas (slides, buildings kids could play in, etc) inserted between the animal exhibits and our kids had a great time playing on them. The Safari Tour was funny as the tour guide really hams it up.Make sure to print out the $2 off per admission coupon from their website before you go!

We took a two year old and he loved seeing the animals close up. The park is clean and well run. The attendance was moderate so that helped a lot. The nicer the day, the more people that show up.NOTE: The address is SCREWY. Google map is not even close and you are best to follow the written direction provided by the park on the web site. Hard to believe but true.

An expensive side show where the animals are either fed or taunted to provide false excitement to the visitors who may if unlucky be drawn about in a trailer being screamed at by the carnival barker. Just overall a very sad place from another time.

The age range for each price point is disappointing. 12mo-12 years is the child price. I was honest enough to say my baby just turned 12mo last week and he'd hardly notice anything all day and could we slide him in. They were very curt and said "12mo is 12 mo." I asked to speak to a manager and explained that having some lee-way or a different price for very young children would create customer loyalty. He brushed me off and rushed away. What they don't understand is, I would've still spent that same money within the park but also thy would've earned my loyalty.

My family (husband, 9 year old, and 5 year old) and I thoroughly enjoyed our day here! The highlight was the safari with our guide. He made I very enjoyable and we all laughed very hard. We enjoyed seeing all of the animals and feeding them. The kids liked that they could feed the bears:) Staff was all friendly. We did eat lunch there and that was good and reasonable compared to other places. Only downside were the porta-potties. The main bathroom was clean (doors did not have locks though). The porta-potties that they had on the trail smelled horrendous and this was with the doors closed. Other than that, we loved it and would go again if in the area!

Yesterday was our nephews 12 th birthday. He has some problems with noise and large amounts of people . We think a lot before we venture out to unknown attractions. He had been here about five years ago so we had first hand knowledge of this park. It was the perfect place for him and for us to enjoy the day with him. He was not eager to feed the animals but he did great with the giraffe . Loved feeding them crackers. Glad we went and will tell others about it.

First, make sure to print out the coupon on their website. It'll save you a couple bucks per ticket. For what it is, this is a very good attraction. You can see the animals up-close and the petting zoo area is a lot of fin. I'd say it's probably best for younger children rather than teenagers. The only disappointment is that I would have liked to see more enriched habitats for the animals. Some were pacing, others just looked bored. For the most part, though, the animals appeared to be well cared for. We especially liked the safari ride. The man who lead the tour was funny and there were even more animals to see that aren't in the other habitats.
