Friendly staff, clean atmosphere and a great place to go as a Senior as well. Great avenue for advertising programs targeted towards Seniors.

My husband and his friends used to play basketball there a while back. I have only been there on two occasions. I attended a Quilt Show and a Parrot Show there and on both occasions found the building & staff to be great. There is ample parking, easy to get to and offers a great deal more than what I have experienced.

I went to a guitar show here awhile back and it must have been 102 degrees in there....Ruined the show for me! Get some A/C or don't hold events!

Liked everything about it. What a great center for the community ! Lots of parking for activities. Huge outdoor pool in summer.

Places is horrible. The only reason you should go is because it's the only pool in the area. Parked my car for 10 minutes to pick up some kids and got a ding in my car. Place is nightmare.

Sui generis...truly unique, this chlorinated chasm is the under-appreciated gem of Freeport and the star of the Recreation Center. While there is an indoor pool (as well as outdoor diving tank and kiddie pool), nothing can compare to swimming laps in the fresh air. While tradition has kept this pool opened through October, the current administration is intent on closing it on Labor Day-leaving dedicated outdoor swimmers floundering (the politics of the pool). A fully equipped exercise room, gym and plethora of activities are also available.

When I walk in I'm happy. The pools (one indoor and 3 outdoor) and pristine. The locker rooms and gym are spotless. They have a food court, a senior wing, exercise classes and the arts council. Come visit for true pleasure,

I admit I havn't been there since my children grew up, but I was a big user of the woman's only gym. I loved the locker room with lounge chairs and hung there a lot to read in the winter. SUmmers would find me out by the pools! Freeport Rec has something for everyone, and I enjoyed taking the kids to the skating rink. They also have arts shows, crafts shows and a claendar of events.In fact LOL< I just talked myself into a membership again!

I am a freeporter and love Freeport rec. my son attends camp there and I see daily swim teams from other towns come to train at the olympic size outdoor pool. They permit out of towners for an additional fee, and parents from Oceanside bring there kids. All sorts of sports, lounge, and snck bar!!

It is the perfect size for them and they really have a good time making new friends and playing in there. Kinda expensive to get into if you only plan to come once. You have to pay some fees (can't recall what they were) and then $5 for each visit. It is a clean pool though so I don't mind paying.

Ice skating, basketball, pools, work-out area, classes, ping pong, preschool, etc. Lots to do for all ages. Nice to have it right here in Fabulous Freeport!

Freeport Recreation Center is located less than five minutes from the Meadowbrook Parkway, and centrally located in Freeport. The facility is very clean and well kept, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.The gym has state of art equipment and the steamroom and sauna are in excellent condition. Above all the members are very friendly.
