If you love aged cheddar you must stop by and sample their 15 year old cheddar. When I asked for the most aged cheddar I thought I did not hear correctly! The 5 year old cheddar was excellent as well at a very reasonable price for the age of the cheese. The staff is very friendly with a really good selection of cheeses to try. They also so some wine tasting for local wineries. If you are going to the Darien Lake amusement park you should include them in your trip since they are so close to the park.As others have said this is a small store that is not glamorous. The cheese more than makes up for it.

This is around the corner form my house, so I don't think of it as an attraction, but it is a great little store with a lot of varieties of flavorful cheese and wine tasting as well! The flavors are fabulous, our favorites being XXX cheddar, champagne cheddar, pepadew, garlic, ...so many more, too many to name. the store is clean, the staff are friendly. They will treat you like you are a local!

Stopped here because we spotted a billboard off of I-90 and read the great reviews on Tripadvisor. Just like the reviews, location is small, but the cheese... Oh wow, it's huge...hugely delicious. It was fun tasting all the fun flavors like wasabi cheddar, smoked bacon Gouda, maple Gouda, and other unique creations. They also have spreads to die for. Other products i remember are some local wines. They also currently offer free shipping with an order of $85. We are now back in Florida and will be placing an order soon. I'm sure these delicious flavors will be the talk of our get-togethers.

Lots of great cheeses: many types and flavors. I try one new (i.e. different) kind of cheese with every visit. Just looking is fun and they always have good samples out which usually end up being my lunch since I can't resist free cheese stuff! They also have some food good sausage products, some sammies and other related items so you can buy a snacky type lunch if you haven't pigged out on the samples. Maybe to eat later! hahaha. Look for what's on sale, but even their regular prices are decent. This an area with lots of great cheese and this may not have the absolute top cheese products, but it's all very good and the choices make it a fun stop. Well worth a short detour over to route 5 when in the area.

This cheese has won awards all over the country. Our very favorite is the horseradish cheddar. There are lots of other kinds from mild to HOT. We are thrilled when we find their cheese in local stores.

Fabulous batch-made artisan cheese with really strong flavors---esp. the horseradish varieties and the Buffalo-style-- hot! they also have fruit flavored, ie strawberry--which really packs a nice fresh fruit tang!

We discovered Kutter's several years ago after we first moved from Montreal to Toronto. On one occasion the dreaded lake effect snow sidelined us in the town of Batavia just off the interstate. (exit 48) We didn't make it much farther east on that occasion and spent the whole weekend . In the years since that stormy night we have enjoyed exploring the region and surrounding area between Buffalo and Rochester, most notably Letchworth State Park. There are a number of motels at this exit off the 90 which is also near Six Flags at Darien Lake. A stop at Kutter's is always on my list of must-dos. I especially like the opportunity to sample any cheese they carry...and there are many wonderful varieties to choose from. Leave space in your cooler for a hunk of old cheddar at the very least. On our last visit they were announcing the Annual Open House but we missed that opportunity to see the factory and sample more cheese plus wine tasting. But we did manage to taste a number of flavoured spreads perfect with a glass of wine after the drive back home along the QEW. And I got a good slice of low-fat cheese to take home as well. There are a number of good spots to eat in the vicinity of Batavia Downs , several good diners...the locals love Settlers and Pizza and wings at Pontillo's. Brown's Berry Farm is another favorite spot to pick cherries in season and has a feature for kids...and lots of items for sale in the Country Store. We sat on the porch and shared an ice cream cone along with several other families. The countryside is rolling green farmland...except of course when winter winds blow. Small town America...perfect!
