    这个河谷就是从阿斯蓬一路沿着82号公路走下来的景致。其实这里看起来有点像是T字路口一样,河又与科罗拉多河相接,所以这里的位置算是交通要塞。当然景色的话,走82号公路就好。

There is so much to love in this 45 mile stretch of heaven from Glenwood Springs to Aspen and beyond to the top of Independence Pass. Each season is special from The deep fall colors of Aspen, Cottonwoods, Maples and oak brush. Then winter wonderland takes over the mountain peaks and valley floor. Cross country skiing, best downhill skiing in the world, The X Games in January in Aspen brings in world level competition then ice fishing the reservoirs and flyfishing year round. Spring brings in flowers and trees soft shade of green to the mountains and ranch lands beging to show fields growning. Summer is the best for me with rafting, fishing, camping, shopping, hiking, biking and the many attractions Glenwood Springs has to offer.

From Glenwood Springs to Aspen, Maroon Bells, and over Independence Pass. Lots of Aspen viewing. Late September into the first two weeks of October is the best time to go.

Quaint little tourist type town along the Crystal River. Sit by the river and eat lunch. Pack our own lunch. Very peaceful.

Whether sports person or sightseer there is plenty to see and do in the Roaring Fork Valley. The highlight is the spectacular view of Mt. Sopris in any season.

The Roaring Fork Valley has a tremendous amount of outdoor activities, cultural opportunities, and some of Colorado;s most spectacular scenery. From Glenwood Springs where the Colorado meets the Roaring Fork there are 6 very different mountain towns. From the glitz of Aspen to the funky Marble. Each town has unique restaurants and museums. The Roaring Fork is joined by the Frying Pan river in Basalt. These two rivers are two of the best fly fishing streams in North America. Mt Biking is very popular and there are hundreds of miles of single track. Kayaking, rafting, hiking and climbing are available for the novice or expert. Spend at least a week to see all the sites. In Winter of course it has some of the best skiing on the planet.

The scenery here is lovely, with Mount Sopris overlooking the peaceful valley. The highway is a divided four-lane.

We had a great time walking on the trail along the Roaring Fork River. We have kids 7 and 11 and they enjoyed as well. The trail is 38 miles long and goes all the way to Aspen.

We liked it so much we spent some of our vacation time looking at real estate. People are friendly and you can tell the Chambers, etc. work hard to keep the area a garden spot. Great place to base a week trip as you can drive to Aspen, Vail, etc.

This valley is what people dream of when they think Colorado. Beautiful mountains, trees, wild flowers, animals, and more. There is always something to do, not matter what time of year you visit.

Very beautiful - watch the locals exceeding the speed limit by 30+ mph - even in the snow - and falling rocks. If you get lucky, you will see the Big Horn sheep. VERY impressive!

take a drive up the valley to Redstone and Marble. In the winter a newly fallen snow on the red rocks makes for a great photo opportunity and Redstone a good place for lunch and a walk through a unique town. In the summer take the side road to Marble and look at the Yule mine where the marble for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was mined.Much of the route is along the Crystal River. Plan on at least a 1/2 day n the winter and a full day in summer. A great drive.

Interesting hike with a good trailhead on Palmer Ave. Best time to see it is the couple of weeks before Halloween when the Historical Society tells the stories of how the person came to be in Glenwood and to be buried there.

I walked the trail with my dog and since it is paved you can also ride a bike or go with a baby in a stroller. The crystal clear water and the views of mount sopris are wonderful. It's not a difficult walk at all, during the summer parking at times can be an issue but worth it. Nothing more relaxing and clearing than the sounds of the water running by you.
