The snow is perfect powder. People are all very friendly, great diversity of lifts and trails. Wonderful ski school for both kids and adults.

C-O-N-S: 1) RENTAL EQUIPMENT-we rented our equipment at the ski area; which we never do--we usually rent our equipment in town when visiting different ski areas & it was somewhat unprofessional. They didn't take much time to fit us or explain the pros/cons of our equipment. Also, we were told to just go out side and someone would give us poles. No one was outside; inside staff said "there should be 3 people" so we ended up picking out our own poles out of an extremely unorganized mess of tangled poles. 2) LOCKER-there are not enough lockers to keep your personal belongings (neither in the equipment rental area nor the bathrooms) so we had to go back down to our car to lock our stuff up. 3) LESSONS: First, u can't book on line; second, prior to arriving I called for ski lessons for 2 of our first time skiers--was told no reservations needed. Upon arrival at ticket office, we were told "sorry, we're booked". After waiting around for 40 minutes for a supervisor, they opened another class BUT the student to instructor ratio was 22:1--example--Breckenridge has an 8-10 ratio! What a waste of money! Of course their excuse was that they just didn't have enough staffing. Hmmm, let's see, it is March, spring break, & guess what--it's going to be busy--EVERY YEAR, how can u not plan on having enough staff? 4) SLOPES: the signage on each run needs to be more clear; they are hard to read & need more of them {careful u can end up on a more advanced slope due to lack of signage}. P-R-O-S: 1) LIFT TICKETS: great price. 2) RUNS/SLOPES: not that crowded. 3) POWDER: lots of snow the week prior to our arrival, 4) EQUIPMENT RENTAL: each day u can leave ur skis/board/poles/ski boots (not board boots) at the rental place. 5) LIFTS: all lifts were open! & they didn't check my ski pass every time we got on a lift.

Great Spring break ! EVERYTHING was well maintained & clean - Friendly, professional staff. All runs were well groomed & clearly marked everyone of all skill levels enjoyed it & will be back ! A+

If you like powder, you will love it here. My only complaint is the signage. All the signs are blue. Why can't green slopes have green signs and black slopes have black signs? Also, if you are skiing the slopes on the left... all the blues turn into blacks. Beware.

Have been skiing for 20 years and gone to many different resorts....you can't beat the value here and the mountain is beautiful,,.....lots of fun runs for all levels....even the easy trails aren't boring.....Silver Streak/tranquility up the treasure lift was our favorite!!...I was worried about the drive up there (wolf creek pass), but it was nothing ....beautiful drive!.... Only inc to make it better would be accommodations on mountain....had just had lots of snow week before, but no new snow...conditions still good......

We hit it just after a major snow event. Good powder conditions and great skiing through and among the trees.

We stayed in Pagosa Springs Colorado rented townhouse off VRBO and its 24 mile drive from there to wolf creek ski resort. Big Hoss steakhouse is a must. We also did skimobiling. See treasure falls

Wolf Creek gets the first and last snow of the season...it is easily accessed from South Fork and Pagosa Springs. Vacation Rentals in South Fork are less expensive and the drive is better during snowfall. Most snowmobile guided trips leave from this area as well.

I've been skiing and snowboarding for over 20 years and have gone skiing all over Colorado. This is my favorite place that I have found. I am not rich by any means. I would describe myself as middle class at best. A family ski vacation is a huge deal for my family. Wolf Creek is extremely affordable. We are not into fancy condo's on the mountain, or expensive shops at the base, or 5 star restaurants that serve caviar and fine wine......we are into snowboarding and skiing. We come to the mountain to enjoy the skiing, not to pamper, shop, or wine and dine. You may be different than me and enjoy that stuff. That's cool, but you won't find any of that stuff here. This place is old school and all about the experience, not the atmosphere. Its skiing the way that it should be. I absolutely love Wolf Creek. Awesome skiing without all the Aspen type foo-foo. The only keeping up with the Jones' you'll be doing is when you're trying to catch him zooming down the mountain. We packed our own lunches and ate at the Base Camp by Raven lift. How cool is that. They do also have a couple restaurants you can eat at as well, which we did one day. Good food. Great variety of runs from expert to beginner. Super friendly staff, and awesome powder. If you're an average Joe like me, and want to experience fantastic Colorado skiing or snowboarding without taking out a second mortgage, It's my honest opinion that this is the best place to go. Great prices, short lift lines, awesome variety, and lots of snow. I can hardly wait to come back again next year.

We skied Wolf Creek 4 days right after the big snow the end of February, beginning of March. Very cold and snowing the first day. Powder, powder, powder the second day. Great skiing and great value. Runs for every level. Loved my first time to Wolf Creek

Wolf Creek resort is absolutely gorgeous!, cheapest place around, has a great restaurant right smack in the middle of resort where you can sit, eat, drink and enjoy watching everyone else ski. Full day is around $63. And half day is $43.

I have to concur with a previous review on the military discount. As a member of the reserves and previous active duty, I was a bit surprised at how sharp they drilled me on my current status as active duty or not. I think that that way of handling people is a bit extreme. As far as the mountain, it was about what you would expect from any other ski experience. They do have really nice folks working the lifts but not very many folks on ski patrol. The lodges are very overcrowded and you have to wade through people to find a table and chair to eat or sometimes wait a while for someone to get up. Rentals are pretty smooth and the best part of the place is that their prices are much lower than most of the competition, even without the military discount.

We love this little gem. It's not a Vail or a big flashy area but it's a great little mountain and so much fun on a snowy day. There is so much tree skiing and interesting terrain. The waterfall area has cliffs but is easy to navigate through. Beautiful!

My family goes every year to pagosa springs and we ski wolf creek. My husband recently got out of the military after serving 4 years and doing yours tours. He served a tour in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. When we went to buy our lift tickets the agent said since military ID expired last month we would have to pay full price. normally this would not bother me but it was the woman's attitude about the entire situation. After years of skiing here, I will take my business elsewhere moving forward. Very disappointed in their attirude towards military men and families.

There was not much snow; however, this was a great place for our kids to ski for the 1st time! The instructors were awesome--very supportive and helpful. Definitely will be back to ski at Wolf Creek Ski Resort!
