This guy is awesome. You can stop by if you see his door open from Hwy 160. He is the most talented guy around. you will want not just one of his gorgeous wood sculptures. Not your everyday bear--these are true art

We recently visited Pagosa Springs for a relative's wedding. Family members recommended we stop by Chad's sculpture studio - we're so glad we did!Chad sculpts from native fallen wood - he had a range of native animals (owls, mountain lions, bears, buffalos) and a beautiful sculpture of a native American woman. His sculptures ranged in scale and price and were all incredibly life like! He uses a range of wood (juniper, spruce, aspen) & techniques. We each fell in love with a piece and brought it home in our luggage! We live in Australia, so Chad kindly treated and wrapped our pieces and gave us a certificate of authenticity to present to Australian Customs. We had no problem getting them into Australia with thanks to Chad. We'd really recommend a stop over at Chad's studio to meet with him and see his latest pieces. If all else fails, keep your eyes open as you travel through Pagosa - he's been commissioned several private and public pieces over the years and we spotted a few on our drive.
